Hello,
Here a concept for urban electric vehicles developed in FreeCAD software, with the hope that one day they will become reality and contribute to cities with cleaner air!

Hello,

Here's the link to the video "Veículos urbanos elétricos modulares - Modular electric urban vehicles". A proposal for a possible open source design...

+Cláudio Sampaio I tried to have it generate a path to cut a gear arm for my lathe. It's 3D printed at the moment not ideal but somewhat functional. Generating the path for the router It seems to miss some of it and when running the script it went a little screwy. It would probably be my lack of experience with it but in the end for this I had to redraw it in fusion360 which is already painful too learn which then generated it correctly although still a pia to get done.

Freecad meets all my needs and I suspect at the rate of change between 0.16 and 0.17 in less than a year path will rock your socks off.

Questions/Help  -

In mounting BIM files, I believe that working with FreeCAD linked files, instead of merging them into a single file, could speed the work ( especially during savings), as well as prevent unwanted changes and accidental deletions during work.

Does anyone know how to make this link ?

As I mentioned before, the foundation and HVAC files are finally available in the FreeCAD library.
I hope they are useful as they were for me!

Hello

About the work of elaborating doors and windows in Freecad, I posted an illustrative video.

https://youtu.be/eT4xGVXPo6M

The files are in the Forum (http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=24&p=144393#p144393) and son in the FreeCAD Library.

Now I'm working on archives for air conditioning ducts and foundations.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I wonder if it would be interesting to draw up a possible BIM workbench. I have no programming knowledge to develop it, and most likely, you are already thinking about it, but in any case I would like to (re)introduce the subject. Mounting a BIM file is very similar a assemble a object and I noticed that the Assembly2 workbench (and others) already have much of what could be use in a BIM with some minor modifications. For example (figure): insertion of complete files (not only parts, linked and upgradeable), basic changes tools (move, rotate, scale), interference checking , preparation of compatibility reports, lists of linked files and their locations, dimensions checking (lengths, volumes, etc. ), quantities spreadsheets, etc...
