There's only one way this can go...
Since 2009 we have watched this group of passionate people tirelessly work on making the ultimate Android experience without any signs of stagnating. I met +Steve Kondik
back in 2011 and was fortunate enough to get to know him and understand his goals and hopes for Cyanogen(Mod). Every time we met up at an event or went out for food with a group of people, he always had a positive filter for how he sees things.
Knowing a good bit of the people who helped create this entity, I see nothing but a great outcome for them. Anything they succeed in they deserve in my opinion. Reading this article on +Forbes
is just one of the many articles that are, as a collective, showing how the CEO and CTO's vision have conflated to create a prominent contender in the current market.
I'll be honest here. I am tired of feeling like I have only two choices to choose from, I want more to choose from. Samsung's OS is bloated with so much junkware and HTC is the only manufacturer with an overlay that I feel I can relate with but it feels the same every iteration. All other overlays are irrelevant at this moment in time because most of them feel half baked or lack innovation or design.
Hat tip to +Cyanogen
for what they created and the community behind it that helped pin it on the map.
