After our Age of Worms game this week, one of the players said that he would prefer it if clerics had Favor equal to their level+Wisdom (currently it starts out at just your Wisdom, and then you get +1 per level after 1st).

His reasoning is that it's a bit easier to remember, and it gives clerics a nice boost at the start of the game.

In actual play I've not seen that it's necessary for a cleric to get by (+Melissa Fisher has played a few clerics for short campaigns and one-shots), especially with their Sacrifice class feature (basically spend 100 sp to regain 1 Favor without having to wait a whole day).

With the upcoming Appendix D book I'll have a chance to introduce some errata, so what do you think? Give clerics +1 Favor over the course of the entire game, keep it as is, or something else? Do you think it's necessary? Do you think that +1 Favor won't change much so why not add it (or keep it as is)?

This session was incredibly short (partially scheduling, partially technical difficulties), so it ended up mostly being a memorable shopping trip. I swear though in the next session, the party makes it to the ruins of Kuluth-Mar!

This session was incredibly short (partially scheduling, partially technical difficulties), so it ended up mostly being a memorable shopping trip. I swear though in the next session, the party makes it to the ruins of Kuluth-Mar!

The party finally gets to Magepoint! They also get some amulets that will hopefully protect them from Kyuss worms.
