Asian Glazed Roast Pork Tenderloin

Sunday Gravy - Pressure Cooker Style
In my corner of the Central Coast of California, that I call home, we are experiencing a mish-mash of weather. One day, it's sunny and warm so we fire up the Weber to enjoy some grilling. The next day, the clouds roll in and bring some much needed rain (for...

Perfect Fried Eggs - Plus, we're off on our summer getaway!
Seriously? Do you really need a recipe on how to fry an egg? I never thought so, until I tried this technique by America's Test Kitchen. Now, I get it! I've been frying eggs the wrong way for all these years. When I share with you how to achieve perfectly...

Lucky you — sounds beautiful. I just read an article about pies in BA and they said a 4 hour cool is minimum for fruit pies that don't run. Sounds like you discovered that too!

New York-Style Cheesecake with a Fresh Strawberry Topping
I've been rather scarce, this month, and I've missed not being able find time to edit and upload recipes that are backlogged on my computer.  Part of my
absence was adjusting to being an empty nester.  I feel into a temporary sense of grieving.  On March 1...

I love a good pound cake, and this one definitely sounds like a winner.  Of course, almond extract seals the deal.  This would be lovely with my West Coast grown berries (ahem).  We are the heart of where Driscoll berries are grown, and they are fabulous. Though, I have a local farm stand that grows organic sweet strawberries that are red, through and through....and I can't wait to buy some!  Happy Easter!

Southern Style Coconut Cake with a Whipped Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting
I am a life long member of the "I love coconut" fan club.  I must really love coconut cake, because I've already shared three different coconut cake recipes on my blog (starting in 2009). My favorite cake is white cake. Hands down. End of story.  I prefer a...

Author of the Food Blog "A Feast for the Eyes"
Introduction
Debby "Foodiewife", author of "A Feast for the Eyes" Food blog. Hi, from Monterey, California. I'm a home cook who strives to learn how to make all things from scratch-- while balancing my busy life as a working wife and mom. I try to buy (and grow) the freshest ingredients possible. My culinary skills are an ever-evolving process of trial and error. I love to cook and bake, equally. Many of my recipes are influenced from my mother's Southern German background, and my dad's Mexican heritage. I have a list of things new recipes and dishes I still want to learn how to make. I enjoy sharing my self-taught lessons with a photo tutorial. I'm a self-taught and aspiring photographer. My food blog is my perfect venue to share recipes and I hope to you inspire you with my food photos.

I've been coming here for 3 years, and I think that you get your bang for the buck. I get the $30.00 combo that includes a "clothes on" massage of the face, head, neck, feet and legs. Then, I get 20 minutes of being on a private massage table for a back massage. I have a favorite massage therapist, but I'm reluctant to give out the name-- for fear she'll get so popular she'll be too booked! The therapists speak minimal English and don't talk at all, which is exactly as I like it. Seeing that a spa will charge $90-$110 per massage, you can't beat this. It's not as fancy as a spa, but it's clean, and that's what matters to me.
