Fernando, I totally agree about the press release thing, but that's part of why I found this interesting -- too often I see science-related news outlets that don't have any real computer science material at all.  As Bob says, other disciplines seem to do a better job playing up their work for public consumption....

Stephanie and I had a great conversation at POPL with Simon Peyton Jones (one of the authors of the proposed curriculum) about this initiative... I'm glad to see it getting some attention. If only we would adopt something similar in the U.S.
