This is a screen shot of the Craigslist post I shared earlier for the Best. Roommate. Ever. The ad got pulled so maybe the powers-that-be at Craigslist doubt his awesome roommate-ness?

I would totally let this guy live with me. I love the acoustical stylings of James Fucking Taylor!
This gal (or guy?) is the honey badger of roommates.

An amazing look at what life is like inside the Fukushima evacuation zone.
About two months after 3/11 I started working on a long-term documentary photo project in Fukushima. I traveled to the region with my bicycle, then rode across Iitate into Minamisoma and entered the 20 kilometer evacuation zone in order to document the fate of the many abandoned livestock and pet dogs and cats.

While working in the exclusion zone, I came across a man, Shoji Kobayashi, who had remained living in his home in a town where everyone had evacuated, just 15 kilometers from the Daiichi reactor. Kobayashi became the central subject of my story.

I continued follow-up trips every few weeks for three months. Today I edited the hundreds of photos taken down to this 20-photo story, which I'm first publishing on Google+. Since I haven't seen social documentary photo stories published here on Google+ before, I thought I'd experiment and see how well the platform works for this kind of project. Thank you for your comments and than you for resharing!
