While working in the exclusion zone, I came across a man, Shoji Kobayashi, who had remained living in his home in a town where everyone had evacuated, just 15 kilometers from the Daiichi reactor. Kobayashi became the central subject of my story.
I continued follow-up trips every few weeks for three months. Today I edited the hundreds of photos taken down to this 20-photo story, which I'm first publishing on Google+. Since I haven't seen social documentary photo stories published here on Google+ before, I thought I'd experiment and see how well the platform works for this kind of project. Thank you for your comments and than you for resharing!
