We worked with an amazing group of creative and talented employees from Riot Games earlier this year on a graffiti workshop in Los Angeles, CA.
For this workshop, rather than providing a predetermined design the client wanted to give total freedom to the participants to come up with their own concepts. We provided all the materials needed including canvases, water based spray paint, nozzles, protection and stencil making materials.
After our hosts demonstrated some tips and tricks with spray paint, the teams had about 15 minutes to come up with a plan and execute their design over the course of 2 hours. Everyone had a lot of fun on this one and we were very impressed by the results when it was the first time that most of the participants ever touched a can of spray paint! We had the opportunity to partner with Bosch to create a series of spray painted murals for their new corporate offices in Sunnyvale, CA. On three of the floors, we were tasked to put our street art/graffiti spin on some of their classic posters. Spray paint was the perfect medium to get some of the smooth gradients in the original artwork. On the first floor of the space, we painted a large replica beveled logo which incorporated a signature box for their employees to sign. Lastly, we painted a large corridor with gradient color bands pulled from their branding/design guide. While it looked like very simple color blocks, this was a very challenging task that involved a lot of masking and subtle gradients that had to be done in one shot. We used a HVLP air sprayer with custom mixed paint to achieve this effect. Check out some photos from the overall installation: http://ow.ly/2mmP30jcTOV

Graffiti USA partnered with Asher Entertainment to provide an interactive mural piece on canvas for National Geographic to promote their Genius series featuring Picasso. The activation took place at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena for the Television Critics Association press tour with many stars in attendance including Queen Latifah, Naomi Campbell, Zooey Deschanel and Diddy! For this activation, we setup a 5×10 canvas with some custom artwork outlined in black. We provided all the supplies for the party goers to paint including brushes and disposable palettes.See full post here: http://ow.ly/VhBX30jcVy2

For the 20th anniversary of American Society of Concrete Contractors’ Decorative Concrete Council, they wanted our team to add a live graffiti entertainment element to their event, tieing into the theme “Everything But Gray”. Our artist took inspiration from ASCC’s portfolio of decorative concrete architecture to create a fictional world showing more traditional forms of gray concrete transforming into the more engaging and enticing world of vibrant and colorful decorative concrete. With finishing touches of the artwork completed live onsite, the final piece was auctioned off to guests at the end of the event. See full post here http://ow.ly/pGE330j6z2V

This past all star weekend, we painted some custom artwork for a Nike x House of Hoops by Footlocker activation at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles. For the first part of the project, we fabricated a faux concrete wall that sat courtside and painted a custom graphic on both sides of the wall. The artwork was meant to mimic the design vibe of the Kyrie 4 All Star 2018 shoes that were released that weekend. Kyrie Irving dropped by himself to shoot some hoops with some lucky local basketball teams!
After the game was over, we had a workshop setup inside the Footlocker store where we custom painted some regulation backboards as gifts for the two local teams. We had two live artists on site completing the pieces. We had no idea how heavy these backboards would be (over 200 lbs each!) As a result, we fabricated some custom steel easels had to display them properly. The teams walked over to the store along w/ Kyrie to sign their gifted backboards. This was an awesome project/opportunity in collaboration w/ Game Seven Marketing. See full post here: http://ow.ly/ILY530jcURC

Painted across five canvases, RIPCO’s logo was transformed into one large canvas mural. Each letter contains details representing each of the five NYC boroughs. The final painting resulted in a modern twist to the vintage postcard style that has become very popular in recent years. Brooklyn Bridge, Biggie, Apollo Theater, Queens World’s Fair, The Beastie Boys….the devil is in the detail! See full post here: http://ow.ly/lk9030j6yA0

Barcelona based fragrance and fashion company, PUIG, came to us to help celebrate the graduating class of their new employees during a group trip to NY. In order to create a team-building activity while nodding to NY culture, we customized a graffiti workshop for the group of 36 to color and fill in an original piece of artwork designed around the companies values. Workshop attendees learned the background to graffiti and tips and tricks to using the medium of spray paint. Our artist outlined the artwork in black prior to the event for guests to fill in colors of spray paint like a giant paint-by-numbers, also having guests write in personal comments and feelings around their experiences with PUIG. Workshop attendees readily rolled up their sleeves to play with spray paint and tap into their creativity for an experience they’ll never forget. Images of the group and their time together were printed on posters as a takeaway. See full post here: http://ow.ly/Au0k30j6zSr

Bold is beautiful!
Come As You Are, a traditional graffiti mural painted in time for the recent opening of MOD Pizza in Marana, AZ. Painted on a faux brick facade, using their branded color palette, the MOD message makes a powerful impact for all of those getting their pizza on! See full post here: http://ow.ly/iZrP30j6y3j

We’ve noticed a trend this year and Adidas isn’t the only one interested in creating interactive live murals allowing participants to assist the artist and fill in portions of commissioned art pieces.
Latitude, a brand experience design agency came to us to help with a nationwide Adidas launch. The "adicolor" adidas launch transcends cultures and eras to redefine itself in new contexts - always taking color seriously, and taking itself less seriously. We helped curate the right graffiti artists for the gig in NY, LA and Chicago to design a black and white illustration showcasing the unique landscapes of their city that only a true local would know. Artist’s designs were then printed onto a large canvas featured at Finish Line locations and to be later colored in by store visitors over the duration of two weeks. MOD Pizza invades Rock City!
Graffiti USA was asked to remix the traditional MOD badge with some graffiti swag in adding some urban flair to their newest store in Shelby Township. We were excited with the final mural but we’ll let you be the judge. See full post here: http://ow.ly/KUA030iz17r http://ow.ly/i/D6wBT
