Ever wondered what your pet sees when he goes in back with us? What our treatment room looks like? Surgery? What kind of specialized equipment we have?

I'd like to invite you to a virtual google tour of our hospital! It features our lobby, exam rooms as well as our surgical suite and treatment areas with views of our ultrasound, dental radiograph and surgical monitoring equipment. Come on "in" and take a look around!

Just a reminder with these hot temperatures:

Walk your pet early in the morning or in the cooler evening hours. Never walk your pet during the heat of the day.
Avoid the hot pavement, which will burn and blister your dog’s paws, just as it would your own bare feet. On a hot
summer day, asphalt temperatures can reach 160 degrees! If your dog must walk on hot asphalt be sure he is outfitted with booties to protect his paws.

Do not exercise your pet strenuously. Avoid extra-long walks, hikes or excessive play. Just like people, our pets can be
overcome by heat exhaustion if they “overdo it” on a hot day. But unlike people, they cannot speak up when they
need water or a rest.

Remember, if you are uncomfortable in the heat, you pet likely is as well! And unlike you, they are wearing a fur coat! Stay safe, stay cool & hydrated.

It's that time of year when many clients are travelling. If you are leaving your pet in the care of someone else, we suggest you fill out and file an Authorization of Treatment form with us. This lets us know who is making decisions in your absence and what kind of care you would designate for your furry friend. You can find the form on our website or by clicking here

Sometimes clients are startled to see a cat running around loose at TPAH, however we actually have 2 kitties that live here at TPAH 24/7. Todd and Ribbons are our hospital cats and while you may see one of them peeking around up front, they usually prefer to hang out in the back (usually on someone's lap or on top of a chart we are writing in!) They are dog savvy and usually (mostly) stay out of trouble, so don't be startled if you see them next time you are in!
