I dined here for the simple fact that it's a converted firehouse. The staff is very friendly and attentive with a menu that reads more like a diner menu — tons of offerings and no real discernible speciality. I enjoyed my caprese sandwich and side salad and would return for the outdoor seating or the evening sushi bar. They accept credit cards, too.

We have gone to this restaurant for years and watched the constant decline in service, food and management. This came to a head when we ordered two turkey reubens to take to our studio. They were dry, with half the trukey we expected and virtually no saurkraut. When we called to question, instead of handling it like a top service business would do, the manager sounded like a confused teenager, asking me what I'd like him to do about it with an arrogant tone. We later took it up with the owner who knew my partner very well since he had been coming to this place a couple times a week for years. She acted cold, hesitantly giving us credit for the sandwiches and when my partner came back in a few days later (which I vowed never to do), they actually refused him service. When someone causes a harm, and never fixes it properly, they need to justify this harm by making the harmed party wrong. It's basic psychology and this team at this restaurant demonstrated this in textbook form. Mark my words; they will close down! There are some fantastic new restaurants opening up on Rose, Sauce on Hampton is a half block away and Rose will be back in service soon. AVOID FIREHOUSE AT ANY COST!

Food tastes ok but service was great. The interior is unique with all the decoration of an old fire house

I usually come for breakfast on the weekends. Good food, a bit expensive for breakfast though. My favorite is the Body Builder combo that comes with scrambled egg whites, and a choice of protein (I like the Italian Turkey Sausage Patty), and choice of carbs (I love getting the multi-grain pancakes with blueberries). Parking in this area can be an issue, but The Firehouse has a couple private lots of their own, including one small lot on the side of the building, and another across the street next to the dry cleaner.

Good weekend breakfast spot. They have it all. Prices are reasonable.
