I am very glad they got rid of the potato they had for filming games, recent years highlight reels are much clearer. It sure is fun to relive that year!

Better still? The Bible itself disproves a December 25th birthday.  Shepherds would not have been in the fields with their flocks in December.  If you were an actual believer in the Bible you would be more upset abut the phonies demanding you celebrate Jesus birth on a day that the Bible contradicts.  But too many put their faith in their ignorance above all else.

What does this have to do with the 1976 NCAA hockey championship?

Meh, this was not a brawl. There was a game ending brawl between Ohio State & Bemidji  women this season that was much worse than this. Set the NCAA record for most penalty minutes ever - not for womens hockey but for all NCAA hockey.

THATS IT?!?  An NCAA D-I teams wins 61 games in a row and dominates like no team ever has and probably never will again and they get a grand total of 27 seconds? They deserve so much better.

I agree, man. I'm from Minneapolis, worked at the U, watched them win their national championships, and love hockey more than anything. but, the fact isn't that people aren't so much interested in women's sports, it's just that they're MORE interested in men's sports. is it fair? no. but at least they made ESPN

The reports after the brawl was that there had been bad blood building up since the Buckeye players dropped the n word on the Gopher players.  A real proud achievement for collegiate sports all around.

You really need to provide dramamine with this video. If you would wave the camera around more, zoom in and out more I'm sure you would have a work of art.

Hate outdoor hockey, love this team! Not just great hockey players but great people. I have never seen a team that cares as much for each and every member has the Gopher women do. It makes me proud to be a fan!

what a bunch of assholes. They should through the whole bunch of them out for the season. Someone should explain CTE to these dicks - they would have to use very small words and very simple sentences but unless the brain damage is alreay out of hand maybe they could understand it

I think I wore this album out as a kid, I'm going to have to see if I can get electronic versions. Thanks for posting!

Not much to look at but the staff is friendly & helpful and the food is always fresh and well prepare. Good food reasonably priced.

Bad even by bar food standards. Ok as a place to have a beer with friends & watch the game but don't eat there.

The food is great! Be warned though when they say HOT they mean it. I find it hard to get local places to believe I like spicy food, nit Minnesota spicy but actually spicy. Marlas does not have that problem. The food is very tasty too. The only downside is that service is slow, they work very much at an Island pace which is OK if you are prepared for it.

Not really bad but flavorless dull and over-priced. We wondered why they brought out a late with chili oil, mustard and sauce before any food. When our dinners arrived it became clear it was because the food itself had no flavor, the additions were little compensation for a poor beginning. The tea was an abomination. I requested the oolong and the sludge that came out tasted strongly of fake apricot. Mediocrities like Changs crowd out decent restaurants and train people to accept second rate crap in place of good food.

Food is pretty good though we have had some occasional misses. We like the idea of local grown food and they really try to make interesting dishes not just the same old stuff. The place is really cramped and you are going to be elbow to elbow with the next table, sit outside if the weather permits.

We have gone there a few times and find the quality to be spotty at best. Have had a couple decent meals there and some really bad ones. It was obvious nobody cared. We got burn french toast one time and the waiter was amazed we were unhappy with that. Last Sunday we got there right after they opened. I was told they only had plain bagels left which is hardly the end of the world but odd given that they just opened at 10. I ordered sausage with my eggs but was given bacon, the waiter said "we are out of sausage so I just substituted bacon". It was a problem beyond his not asking me if that was OK. Given the uneven quality and general lack of effort I think it was our last trip there.

I always assumed that the design of this place was a nod to the old Soviet Union beaten in hockey by Herb as it was gray, drab and lifeless as the worst of Stalinist architecture. The new entrance tacked on the parking lot end is an improvement that at least makes going in less unpleasant. The seats however are a hold over, stolen from the KGB where they were used to force confessions from dissidents. They are narrower than a bench which would be tolerable if not for the back. Having a back on them gives you about 3 inches to actually sit on and no way to adjust for relief. If you can't sit in the private section for grown ups (which is fenced off) try to get the student section which is benches with no backs. Better to jostle with drunk 19 year olds than sit in those gawd-awful seats
