Converted one of my Orchard CMS Websites to a static website. It's still a work in progress as I learn more about static website generators, etc.
The website itself will probably be of no interest to many of you ( if any ), because it's mainly about me teaching my children Git and beginning web design and development.
I figured the best way to do this was to have her build a website and blog on GitHub Pages. As you probably know, GitHub Pages serves static websites from a GitHub repository. Updating the website will force her to use Git and become good at it.
I didn't want to preach what I don't practice, so I decided to move one of my websites to GitHub Pages and become more knowledgeable with static website generators. It's really opened my eyes to static website generators and I am having a lot of fun with it.
As I gain more insight and answer questions from my children, I will continue to add small, bite-sized blog posts.
Probably more fun for me than educational for anyone else :)
