Holy moly, what a beast of a game. Churchill is great, but man, this was just a training scenario with 3 conferences and it took something like 3.5 hours. And due to the Japanese not surrendering, the bastard Churchill won, because me (Stalin) and the US were tied without me breaking Germany and the US getting the bomb. Don't really know how often I will get this out, due to the time requirement, but it is really a fun system with lots of potential lines of play. Really great stuff.

First play of Days of Ire, took the solo variant with easy setting and got a heavy beating by General Zukhov. Hammered my morale into oblivion, even though my people put up a good fight. Game plays kinda like a much more thematically strong pandemic in the coop/solo ruleset. Definitely want to get out the one-vs-many rules one day, but until then this probably can keep me busy.

Episch! (Und als Solo-Titel sehr zu empfehlen!)
One of my favorites: Hoplomachus. Normally I am playing Origins, because it is small, fast and simple, but I finally got Rise of Rome out on the table to try out the titans. Definitely more depth than the simple challenges of Origins, but of course takes a bit more time to play through. I win, but it always the 1-rank titan and I probably cheated by missing some rules. Still felt great and an epic fight. Really waiting for Chip Theory Games to get their european-friendly shipping going to get the first box Lost Cities to complete my collection.
