Hi,

I just release version 2.11.3 of d20 Character Sheet. It contains the following bug fixed:

Version 2.11.3
* Bug fix: Fixed missing result of die roll, if many dice were rolled
* Bug fix: Fixes width of edit field, if number had many digits
* Bug fix: Fixed crash, if number of damage dice was zero
* Bug fix: Fixed position of saves for character with long class name

In 2015 I want to add In-App Payment. The app will be available for free with one example character. If you want to add more characters you have to buy the full version.

Maybe in 2015 I will add the slot system. The slot system would allow to equip your character with items. Based on equiped items armor class and other values could be calculated.

Hi,

I just uploaded a new version of d20 Character Sheet. I'm glad to deliver a fix for the layout problem on high density devices. Now the result of a die roll and the button labels are always visible.

Thanks to Ryan, Tilora, Benjamin, Benjamyn, Cameron, Douglas and Angie for testing the fix.

Have fun with the new update.
Feedback is welcome.

Hi,

here is the release plan for 2014. It contains three main features. The most important one is spell preparation. I already started working on it.

1. Spell Preparation
- Memorize spells from spell lists.
- Keep track of memorized and already cast spells.

2. In-App Payment
- The app will be available for free with one example character.
- In-App payment for creating additional characters.

3. Slot System
- Equip body of character with items.
- Calculate armor class on based on equiped armor.
- Calculate different armor classes for touch and flat footed.

There is no time schedule for the releases, because of my young daughter. She is six month old an can cancel every time schedule. :-)

Hi Kyle, the main goal of in-app payment is to offer a free version with one character you can edit. This allows the users to test the app as long as they like with one character. Then if they create there own characters they have to pay. I'm not sure how to handle this. If every new character costs for example $2 or if they pay only once $10 and can create as many characters as they like.

For users which already bought the app no additional payment should be necessary, if I implement the solution with only paying once. If I implement the solution with paying for each new character. Then the already existing characters are free and the next 5 characters will be free. These are only ideas now. I don't have read the details and technical possibilities of in-app payment right now.

I'm still working on spell preparation and hope to finish it in June. Then I will fix some layout bugs, some users reporten. After this I will read the detail about in-app payment.

Cool, can't wait for the spell administration .
Going to play a warlock in the next campaign, so it would be great to add all the incantations to your app.

Hi,

I’m glad and very proud to present the new version of d20 Character Sheet. The new version contains spell preparation. The old spell tab is replaced by two new tabs.

The new tab Known Spells allows to select the spells the character knows from a spell list and displays how many spells the character is allowed to known per spell level.

The tab Spell Slots shows the spell slots of the character. Each spell slot can be touched to select a spell. A spell slot displays the name, DC, ability and school of the spell. Spell slots are in the color of the school to easily identify counter spells. After a spell is cast, the color
changes to grey and the spell name is striked through.

Spell slots are refreshed by resting. Metamagic feats are supported.
The home page is www.d20CharacterSheet.com. The manual is updated.

Feedback is welcome.

Hi,

at the Eastern weekend I implemented some parts of spell preparation. The tab "Spells" will be replaced by two new tabs.
The tab "Known Spells" will allow you to select the spells your character knows. This is similar to the old "Spell" tab, but now it keeps track which spell you known from which spell list. In addition it lists how many spells your character is allowed to known in a specific level (see the attached screen shots: Sorcerer_Known_Spells and Wizard_Known_Spells.png).

Totally new is the tab "Spell Slots". It displays the Spell Slot a character owns for each of its classes. Each spell slot can contain a spell. The spell name, DC, ability and school is displayed for each spell slot. Metamagic feats are supported. Spell slots are in the color of the school to easily identify counter spells. After a spell is cast, the color changes to grey (see screen shots Sorcerer_Spell_Slots.png and Wizard_Spell_Slots.png).

There is still a lot of work to do to finish the spell preparation, but I hope to finish it in June.

I hope you like the new tabs.

Hi,

I'm proud to present a new update for d20 Character Sheet. It now contains the spell administration. You can create your own spells and assign them to you own spell list. This spell list you have to attach to an ability. Then add the ability to a class or race and it will be available for your character!!!

Here are the details of the new update:
* Added creation of spells.
* Added creation of spell lists and assign spells to them.
* Added creation of spell ablities to assign spell lists to them. By assigning spell abilities to a race or class you can assign your own spell lists with your own spells to your character.
* Added search to all administration menus.
* Bug fix: Fixed calculation of CMD.
* Bug fix: Fixed import of masterwork items.
* Bug fix: Fixed adding skills to classes in skill administration.

I hope you like the new update.

Next the manual on http://d20CharacterSheet.com will be updated.
Then release plan for 2014 will be created.

I wish you a happy new year.

Hi,

I just release version 2.9.0 of d20 Character Sheet. The new features are

- Export/import of weapons, armor and goods
- Reduced memory requirements to improve stability, while app is running in background

I want to use the export/import functions of weapon, armor and goods to offer new equipment for download from the homepage (www.d20charactersheet.com). If you have items you want to share with other users of the app. It would be great if you send me your exported items and I will place them on the homepage for download.

I'm happy I published the 3rd quarter release in time, which wasn't easy because I had my marriaged in the quarter and our first child was born.

Now I'm implementing the 4th quarter release, which containts the spell administration.
