Paul was born, raised and educated in New England. His fascination
with science started at an extremely young age with two questions: Why
are plants green? And why is the sky blue?
In search of answers, Paul went on to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the prestigious Stockbridge School of Agriculture earning a degree in Plant Science. After graduation, it was to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Plymouth State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
Paul’s television career started at WMTW in the summer of 2004 while an intern for the weather department. Since then Paul has forecasted for the private sector, which covers a wide range of clients from Agriculture to Industry nationwide. Prior to joining the WMTW First Warning Weather team in January 2010, Paul was the weekend Meteorologist at WSHM-TV in Springfield, MA.
For nearly two decades Paul has worked
in the outdoors as a gardener and tree expert and when not working he
enjoys a variety of seasonal activities including snowmobiling, alpine
skiing, hiking, water skiing and spending time along the Maine coast.
Because of his educational and work experiences, he always keeps in mind
the many people affected by daily weather changes from your backyard to
across the world.
Paul comes from a large family;
he is the oldest of 5 boys and has terrific memories about growing up in
Maine with his brothers. He and his wife Leah live in the Lake Region
of Southern Maine, and enjoy every change of weather that rolls through
daily. Paul loves his work, as it reflects many years of dedication to a
scientific hobby which he now shares with his viewers. You can watch
Paul’s forecast Weekend evenings at 6 and 11 pm on News 8 WMTW and
