Porcelain mimics textiles! Whilst not an obvious partnership, the soft texture of fabric translates beautifully onto the impermeable low maintenance surface of a porcelain tile. See our fabric looks and request samples here:

Morgan Lovell Case Study

Two companies, both at the leading edge of sustainable business practice….united by ethos and a desire to make the working environment a better place to be. For Morgan Lovell, renowned workplace designers and accredited BREEAM, LEED and Ska assessors, the relationship with Eco Friendly Tiles went way beyond the supply of 180m2 of super-thin ceramic slabs when they decided to practice what they preach during their own office refurbishment.

Morgan Lovell is one of the UK’s foremost consultancies in workplace strategy, design and project delivery, creating spaces for brands such as Skype, npower, eBay and the British Library. When it came to the refurbishment of their own HQ in London, they saw it as the perfect opportunity to showcase their ability to create an activity-based workspace designed to enhance productive and to inspire the people who work there. A place that would personify good design – with sustainability at its core.

“There’s a very good reason why ‘green’ buildings are also known as ‘high performance buildings’,” says Sophie Hutchinson, Head of Sustainability at Morgan Lovell. “Office buildings designed or refurbished to be more sustainable not only help reduce running costs, they are also proven to encourage better quality of work and lower rates of absenteeism. Refits which are more sustainable therefore yield faster returns on investment than is commonly anticipated – this was the principle at the heart of the refurbishment of our own offices in Noel Street, Soho.”

It was this focus on sustainable working that introduced Morgan Lovell to Eco Friendly Tiles and their ultra-thin Shannon range. Says Sophie: “I had heard about Eco Friendly Tiles and liked the story behind their company and their products. Critically, the company’s Shannon range created just the look and texture we wanted to achieve, while at the same offering the benefits of low-embodied carbon. For us, they proved to be a natural ‘fit’."
