What a spectacular view! This has been a local hot-spot since 1939. A big dance floor and live band surrounded by a 360 degree panoramic view. Select from 100 Martini's and sit back and watch the skyline and views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Their are little appetizers like Kobe beef or crab sliders. Another gem in this city.

Supposedly I came here when I was five. I don't remember that experience, but when I came here more recently, I can never forget the feeling of awe that I experienced. The views are breathtaking. I had the pleasure of having coffee with a friend (it was decent, you're paying for experience and ambience). What I enjoyed most was seeing the helicopters, sailboats, and dynamic views. I gotta go back!

Great views, great service, great martinis. Read mixed reviews on this place but my wife and I really liked it. Live jazz piano. Our server Robert was great - personable but gave us our space. The only downside were the obnoxious techies near us that yelled the whole time about GAAP revenue, etc.

What you pay for more than anything at Top of the Mark is the name recognition and the view — which varies depending on time of day and what time you get there. The 100 martini menu is closer to a 100 cocktail menu served in wine glasses. The waiters have always been friendly when I'm there, but the view of Grace Cathedral and the west is much prettier than looking toward the Easy Bay. The prices are higher than necessary, but a good place to go since you're already on the top of Nob Hill. At the ground level there are signs that say appropriate dress is required after 5 p.m. but that is not clarified. The hosts are much less friendly than the waiters. There are no shorts allowed in the bar after 5 p.m., and that is not communicated with niceness if you get to the bar level. Good to go with a friend or two, but be sure to meet dress code and bring your wallet.

We had a good time and a great view, but could have been better Management will have no incentive to improve as it is going to be full every night with hotel guests, parties and tourists. But it could use a rethink. Light, fun music rather than a dance band would be one idea. Also, if you want to play up the history, play classic music old people want, or target people well over 30 who can afford to buy $14 martinis.

My Husband and I were at the Top of the Mark yesterday late evening. We had given our car for Valet parking and while returning we went to pick our car. After paying the fee, the responsible person went to get our car which was literally right in front of us. While backing up, he smashed our car to another car parked behind causing the paint on the bumper to come off and to also cause few other scratches in the rear. All this happened right in front of our eyes,. He came to give back our car as though nothing happened. When asked about the incident he was extremely rude saying such this happen all the time and we should not make a fuss about it. He started arguing with us. He was very abusive , passed racist comments and used extremely foul language . He was not apologetic for what he had done. Is this how customers are treated? First of all the car is damaged and then we also got to hear his bullshit. Extremely alarmed by the kind of people this hotel employs. We pay for the parking too and get our cars damaged! How fair is that! Please revisit the kind of employees you hire and tech them how to talk to customers when the fault is theirs !

Amazing views and great atmosphere with live music. Drinks are good and average. About $14 per drink. You pay for the view.

Definitely the go-to spot for tourists as it offers stunning 360 degree views of San Francisco. I had a delicious mojito that wasn't as fresh as I'd like (mint was a bit wilted) but for the view, it was worth my while and ~$15.
