Iconic high-end cocktail bar on top of the Mark Hopkins Hotel, with 360-degree views of the city.- Google
"The brunch buffet offers western and asian options as well as a caviar bar."
"One of the best views in the city but not a good cocktail bar."

Amazing views and great atmosphere with live music. Drinks are good and average. About $14 per drink. You pay for the view.

The buffet was ok along with the view. I removed a star because I remember how much San Franciscans hate freedom

Great views, but horrible service. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes before leaving - since a server never came to our table. We weren't the only party to do this - several tables got up and left after waiting for servers that never came.

We had a fantastic time at The Top of the Mark!! Our server made great cocktail recommendations. Our dessert was wonderful....light, refreshing...just what I wanted. We did not feel rushed even though there was a line of other diners waiting for a table. We loved hearing about the traditions they have there about serving free liquor to service men and women....goes way back, lots of history. We enjoyed it!!

This is a great hotel with the most spectacular view. My Mom stayed here when she visited me and I stayed with her and I was really impressed with the price of the hotel, condition of the room, view and overall customer service we received. Parking to stay over night was as expected, expensive but you're on top of the city so $25 bucks for the whole day/night isn't too bad. Plus they have free shuttles to take you downtown and pretty much if you ask the right person anywhere, within reason, in the city.

The top of the Mark definitely rests on it's reputation. The view for evening drinks was quite good. The service was a little bit lacking. The drink menu refers to everything as a "martini", though there are some interesting liquor combinations that are known by other names. Just soak in the atmosphere and the view.

walking up to this location is an experience in and of itself before you even get inside. The steep hills that lead to the hotel will take your breath away. Good thing when you arrive inside you don't need to take the stairs, you just need to go to the elevator, press T, and you are taken to the top of the mark, the highest floor in the building! I enjoyed some appetizers with three others and we enjoyed a bottle of white wine as well which was served perfectly according to wine pouring procedure. The ambiance was elegant and a band played behind us. We were lucky enough to be graced by the presence of some US naval men and women during fleet week. The only downside to the experience was that the service was a little slow, but it was very busy and perhaps they were short staffed.

The view here is phenomenal, no matter where you sit day or night, you won't be dissapointed. They don't have many options for food, but the cocktail menu makes up for it times ten. For those of you who like limitless options on drink choices, this is the place for you. On weekends there is loud music and lots of people dancing, the atmosphere is wonderful very mature crowd. And the view is even more spectacular!
