I'm a complete Warhammer Fantasy RPG newbie. I've never played or ran the system before. I got my PDF of 2nd Edition printed out and I started to make some characters today. It was fun. What are the pros and cons of the setting and the rules? Do you have any house rules that you have used and would recommend? I am going to try to run this in the next few months if the stars align properly.

A world is emerging from a random method of mapping. I'm using a Jerry Gretzinger style method using modified playing cards to figure out what to add next to the map with each new card. It is a surprisingly addictive process, which makes me think I'll stick with this newly forged world that is in constant turmoil from the encroaching Black Ness, Red Dimension, and the White Void. :)

Here is a folder with the map sheets I have so far.

Here is the original Jerry's Map video that inspired me to give this a go. https://vimeo.com/6745866

I started tinkering on my own Jerry Gretzinger style map, which uses modified playing cards to tell me what to add. Here is a Google Drive folder where I have the current versions of the maps.

If you haven't seen the Jerry's Map video, here is the link. It is very inspiring.

I have started working on my own crude version of a Jerry Gretzinger style map which uses a deck of modified playing cards to tell me what to add and how to manipulate the map. Here is the folder with the two sheets that I have so far.

Here is the 2nd map sheet that I have so far. This one has more collage parts in it (cut out of National Geographic Magazine).

I figured I should put this into its own category in case people don't want to see random crappy maps. lol.

Here is the first sheet of the map, and it is currently in its 3rd Generation. I'm using a deck of modified playing cards to tell me what to place on the map and how to manipulate it. It is surprisingly engrossing and entertaining to doodle up.

This is a video response to "Jerry's Map" which inspired me to make my own random map via playing cards. Each card has 3-4 directives on them that tell me to do certain things to the map or to the cards, and to let me know what happened in that little section of map. It's funny how I'm worried and anxious I am about those little people in that fake town. :)
