Mostly, living in the Philippines is great for US military retirees.  But it does get depressing when your own government lies to you for years, and then when military officers lie, admit to their lying and even try to justify it, publicly  It takes some of the "feel good" edge off the morning, for sure.

Here's some pretty interesting stuff without the SEO bs and the other technobabble.  Y0u can make real money with your own eBay/Amazin powered store setup.

Instead of all the magic "press this button" ideas and other "bright, shiny objects", Doug is working systematically at this and I recommend getting acquainted with his site/work

I should have been doing this and writing about it more myself.  Thanks Bob, for showing the the kinds of claims one hears about "make $xxx per hour working on line" are true.  Even my little, neglected custom map site easily nets me more than $100 USD per hour whenever I make a sale ... and people are happy that I have helped them as well. Indeed the money is in the list, for sure!

I wrote this yesterday.  A "real" (brick and mortar) business worth looking into for anyone who wants to escape (a large percentage of) their income taxes, Obamacare and other ares of heartburn in the USA.  Interesting that one of the original comments to the announcement article was a fellow saying "I suppose when the sale goes through you'll move back to the US"?  Why on earth would they want to do that, making themselves low-paid and struggling in California when in the Philippines the verified income from this business is enough to live very comfortably indeed.

Happy New Year to those of you who served your country.  Here's how much the country values your service, at least if you happen to exercise your freedom of choice and retire in the Philippines, as I did.  Welcome to a "grateful country's" slap in the face.

Words fail me.  To hear such insults from no less than a US government contractor, hired with and paid by US tax payer dollars to support US military overseas is just about beyond belief.  And to hear such baseless nonsense from a news organization whom, up until this moment, I have considered one of the top in the world just saddens me.  Sick, shameless and entirely made up and viciously untrue.  This is worse than coming back from Vietnam and being spit on by the American public in the street.

You know, I understand a lot of private companies also provide their employees health care managed through ISOS.  For the sake of my fellow Americans I hope to God ISOS provides better care to them than they do to retired military.  Are these guys ( DHA, TRICARE Pacific and their stooges ISOS), just horribly inefficient at serving all their clients, or is this a special case of discrimination against US service members?  Sad, sad lack of any response.  How interesting that CNN and other media outlets seem to be quite critical of what they see possible lacking in the Philippine government's response ... but for US veterans?  Apparently CNN could not care less.

Pretty sad how honorable veterans are treated, health care-wise in the Philippines.  Response?  What response?  It's pretty heartwarming to see the great relief efforts from the US military to help the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.  However, from one vet to another, guys and gals, don't expect to get any help from your own government when you retire.  Sad ...

Simple, cheap, and done to a depth and breadth which I haven't seen before.  Recommended
