I'm playing with the FST's social conflict rules and got to thinking about how each skill can be used to alter a character's motivation or instinct. Provoke easily stands apart from the others, but Deceive and Rapport seem to be exactly the same. Both imply convincing others to do or believe what you want, the only difference is context (false information or not).

I've seen other games where lying and persuasion were the same skill (you're essentially persuading someone to believe your lie). Assuming finding a place for the other uses of Deceive is possible in another skill, do you require/prefer a deception skill apart from persuasion in your games? Or am I wrong and they aren't that interchangeable?
