The man has all the subtle diplomatic skills of a bull in the ring. China - and others - are no doubt learning just how to wave that red cape.

From the top GOP spokestroll - "The time to unify is after we have forced them into surrender just like we did the Japanese in World War II."

Anyone trying to tell me to be nice and unify with Trump and his administration - fuck off. Rush just called for them to nuke us.

Okay, so here are my fears.

1. Within two years, I'll be out of a job, as the USPS is "privatized." By which I mean looted and killed off. I have my military retirement and disability - we'll survive, but will need to sell our house and buy or rent a much smaller one, along with cutting other expenses.

2. The ACA will be repealed. Insurance premiums, which had begun to increase more slowly, will resume their hyperbolic climb. With the "pre-existing conditions" rule removed, a man I admire who is self-employed will lose his insurance. At his age, in the dying economy, he'll have little chance of getting a job with insurance, and he'll die of his diabetes. He will not be the only one.

3. We will see a wave of corruption in the government that will make the Teapot Dome look like stealing a pencil from the supply cabinet. To Trump, power exists solely to be abused - and he measures success in dollars. His cronies will follow his lead.

4. Next year, Planned Parenthood will be destroyed, just like ACORN was. A couple years later, Roe v. Wade will be repealed. They'll try for a ban on birth control, but I think that will be overreach.

5. Obergefell...I honestly don't know. Even a conservative SCOTUS might be hesitant to invalidate all the same-sex marriages that have been celebrated the last few years. I suspect it will be overturned in favor of states' rights, with the assumption that states will recognize already-married couples. And then several states will ignore that assumption.

6. The economy, which had been recovering, will slip back into recession, with all the pain that will entail. The minimum wage will also drop. "Buddy, can you spare a dime?"

Elections have consequences. We're about to suffer them. My only hope is that the disasters start quickly enough to energize liberals in the mid-terms.

Don't be fooled.

Karl Rove does not speak without reason. He had a particular reason to go on TV and announce this. He wanted it to be spread around everywhere to make liberals confident, content...and lethargic. Convincing Clinton voters they've got it in the bag is unlikely to be enough to save Trump's disastrous campaign, but it would help salvage the congressional races and other down-ticket elections. Those still matter. Don't sit this one out, no matter what the polls show, no matter how many Republicans go on TV looking sad and resigned. They're still trying to keep voters away from the polls. Go vote.

Okay, this story is crap, and it's ticking me off. Here's the summary - as a private citizen, two years after she left government service as SecState, Clinton agreed to attend a conference in exchange for a big donation to her charity. That's it, that's all there is to the story...except for the spin the media chooses to apply.
Certainly, that's an explicit quid pro quo. A pretty good deal for the Clinton Foundation, too. So what? Are we expecting our potential presidential candidates to live entirely in seclusion any time they are not in office and not actively campaigning? Or is it just her?

"I promise you that we will be united against any Supreme Court nominee that Hillary Clinton, if she were president, would put up," McCain said.
She hasn't even been elected yet - and he's already promising to obstruct one of her - and his - most basic responsibilities.

This is absolutely unacceptable. I hope the terrorist is caught, and quickly.

Be it "pussy" or poetry - it's still sexual assault.
