Concern in the Kingdom - We’ve seen the Broncos absolutely win the offseason so far by adding very high caliber players in essence disregarding the entire AFC West and focusing exclusively on the areas that cost them Super Bowl XLVIII. If you’re a Chiefs fan you would have expected a huge offseason but the salary cap has kept the team from making any major moves. Instead of attempting to renegotiate the contracts of players who didn’t live up to their cap number the te... http://ow.ly/2Fw7SD

Dig deeper, there is no way a team can spend that kind of money without hurting themselves in the long run. Again, if they "found some secret way" and it's possible to spend tons of money with absolutely no downside then why isn't everyone doing it? They might have all of their picks but they cannot keep those picks if they turn out to be great players and keep those stars they signed all at the same time. I cannot give you all of the data because I don't have it and I don't care to get it because I know its true without it, you cannot spend money and have money at the same time. Go dig around and see for yourself if you think that is true but it cannot possibly exist in reality.

It would hurt to see this guy play for someone else, no?
Tamba Hali, one of the best pass rushing linebackers in the NFL, may be entering his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs. There are a couple of thoughts that lead you to think 2014 is Hali’s last season in KC, starting with the salary cap issue. According to OverTheCap.com, Hali has a cap number of $11.4 […]

I'm guessing not everyone agrees with this bold strategy.

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to fly under the radar in free-agency. To date, they’ve lost several players, including two Pro-Bowlers in Branden Albert and Dexter McCluster, a starting defensive end in Tyson Jackson, as well as some much needed depth…

Makes some good points but no, I don't agree. If he trusts their ability to identify talents (as I do) then trust them to fill the holes with the draft. We can't fill every hole, hell no team can do that and no team ever has. So that's not even a point to be made but we can fill as many as possible with the picks we do have. And yeah, we'll be hard pressed to "win it all" this year, so why trade big players in a futile attempt? Makes no sense, bide our time and next year we should have all our draft picks to fill whatever holes are left.

All other receivers getting that kind of money somehow seem to get open.

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a good history of head coaching, and with that usually comes good assistant coaching. Many remember how Marty Schottenheimer built some of the best staffs in the 90′s having several coaches move on to head coaching jobs,…

Can you guess who tops this list?

The Kansas City Chiefs have made some serious moves in free agency over the years, and today I wanted to count down the top 5 free agent pick ups in team history. Free agency didn’t really take off in the NFL until the early 90′s, when the great Reggie…
