Togetherness-More or Less?
I tend to visit quite a few blogs on a regular basis. As one who blogs herself, I appreciate the perspective of other boomer and retirement blogs, as well as creative blogs, money saving blogs and travel sites. I enjoy almost all of them. Unfortunately I do...

Less travel and Much more Vacation-AccommodatiNguyen the Texas Heat
As a person who loves summer, there's heat, and then there's HEAT. Which is another way of saying that one of the advantages of road tripping, especially spontaneous, single  road tripping is that you get to change your mind. And your itinerary. Colorado he...

The Day the Frugal Retiree Gave Up Cooking (Sort Of)

Going with My Flow
Today has been a relaxing day. In fact, it's been a relaxing week. Fourth of July was spent relaxing in the back yard with good food, and then closing up the house (to save my dog's sanity and well being) and watching fireworks on the tube. Except for walki...

As someone who travels with pets, we were disappointed. After reading the pet policy completely online, there was no mention of the fact that pets could not be left in the rooms while we went out. In fact, we do this all the time-and have done so in Best Westerns from Missoula to Clayton Texas (our dogs are well behaved). The website states pet deposit as well as numbers and wight allowed but in no way says that dogs cannot be left in rooms, even in crates. We managed well for three days, but will be traveling back to the black hills, and staying in another hotel. Also, we had no wifi. Fortunately I have fourg.

Very professional and easy to work with. Fernando was very unobtrusive but took piles of wonderful pictures. Some of the pictures were truly amazing and the photos came back very quickly! A delight to work with and we loved pictures. A wonderful job and I would definitely hire Fernando again! Thanks so much! 21:17 May 20, 2014
