I've been trying new places all over Deep Ellum. This is by far one of my favorite places. I got the ranch hand burger, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, and the staff were super friendly. If you are looking for a fantastic burger menu and are in deep ellim, this place is great. Also, I'm sure this goes without saying, but the root beer is also exceptional.

Ever eaten/been somewhere and just felt compelled to write a review because it was over the top good? This is that place! I went here on my first ever experience being in Dallas Tx after walking around Deep Ellum a bit (absolutely amazing part of town if you like graffiti/street art)..first meal in the city. By far exceeded my expectations. I got the southern comfort burger which has cheddar, Bourbon bbq glaze and fried green tomatoes..hands down best burger iv ever had in my life no exaggeration! peppercorn ranch sausr that came with the fries was off the chain and the twisted root beer float was bomb as well! The whole character of the place is on point right down to the chuck norris jokes writen all over the bathroom walls! LOVE THIS PLACE!

The burgers are great but I'm not a huge fan of their fries/sweet potato chips. The milkshakes are good though so be sure to try one when you're there.

Amazing place! First time in Dallas and I absolutely fell in love with the place. They also give you a card, with a character or celebrity on it, as your order number. so cool

Incredible food. Had the Sexy Hawaiian and Spicy Goat burger. Both were amazing and cooked to perfection. Also, I had the Fat Elvis. A chocolate, banana, peanut butter and bacon milkshake. I did not expect to enjoy this, but I thoroughly did. It was like a party in my mouth, and my stomach used the opportunity to come out of the closet. My only regret was then bicycling back to Arlington soon after leaving, which made a 2-3 hour ride into most of the night. But then I'd have not eaten such incredible food, so in the end no regrets.

The absolute best burger joint in Texas, I've been all over. This place here tops every single burger I've tried. I've lived in 2 states and I am 27 years old and i worked traveling for a living, so I eat out every single day, and I haven't tasted anything that compares. I get the Western, French fires that i eat with Chipotle home made ketchup, and a side of bread and butter pickles, and a Pibb extra to wash it all down. Will come back every chance I get.

Someday, I really need to find out where the term "Hole in the wall" comes from & if it was created as an insult or what? Because, at first glance, this place looks to be exactly that but, it happens to be one of those places that is well worth a closer look. The Twisted Root Burger Co. Has been in the deep Ellum area of downtown Dallas for about 9 years. The buzz around this "Hole in the wall" has reached nearly legendary status and people will venture out of their way for arguably the best burger in town. What Twisted Root lacks in style or finish it more than makes up in fun, personality and atmosphere. With burgers names like the Kevin Bacon and the fact that, when you pay for your food, you can be a wide array of celebrities. Such as Samuel L. Jackson, Dave Chappelle or even Cartman. The bathrooms are adorned with shout outs to Chuck Norris and I do love the fact that there are two single bathrooms for both sex's. Meaning, one seat per person instead of having to share. Its a me thing but, I dig it. So, if you ever find yourself in the outskirts of Dallas, you owe it to yourself to have a close look at this wonderful "Hole in the wall."

Best burger I've had! The burgers here are amazing. I had a Westerner with sweet potato chips, and it's a good thing I don't live nearby because I don't think I could ever make a burger again with twisted root on my mind!
