Sin of every flavor and color separates us from the holy God.
God doesn't want us to remain separated from Him because He loves us. We don't want to remain separated from Him because He created us with a need deep inside of our souls for connection with Him. There is only one solution to this separation problem - and that is to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He alone paid the price for your sin, and He alone covers it so that God the Father can look at you and you can approach Him. The first step is just to acknowledge your problem of sin, and to be willing to let it go - to turn away from it - to "repent." To ask forgiveness from the only One who can grant it, and then learn to walk in a new direction.

As you learn about Jesus through the Bible, and you learn to love Him because He first loved you, your appetites and desires will change. You will no longer want to sin and serve yourself, instead you will desire a life of holiness because He is holy. And because He knows that the flesh is weak, He will give you the Holy Spirit to empower you to walk in His ways, and who will transform your mind if you let Him. You will discover talents and gifts you never had before, and use them to bring joy and life to the people around you, and to worship Him because He is worthy to be praised.

The changes in you will cause others to be curious about what happened to you, and you will share your story with them, a story that includes and begins with sin...that is separating them from the holy God, and the savior Jesus who is the connector who covers that sin, and the Holy Spirit who fills you with wonder and excitement and turned your mind from a prison to a resort.

Not everyone is ready to hear my testimony or yours. They might say, "that's nice for you, but I'm ok. I don't need all that." Many people can't see that they are dying and in need of a savior. They don't see that their sin is a big enough problem to cost them anything precious. Or they don't believe in the concept of sin at all or think they have committed any. The truth is, we have all sinned. We were born sinners. Babies lie before they can speak, they manipulate and covet before they can walk. It's "human nature." God wants to give you His nature, and free you from the bondage and consequences of sin.

For others, sin is comfortable. It's just too pleasurable to give up, and they actually love their sin. But at the end of the day, they know there are consequences. They live them out either through heartbreak, disease, addiction, negative and hateful thoughts, I could go on and on. But the consequences we face here and now for our sin are nothing compared to eternal separation from God. You see people talking about hell like it's going to be a party - but the Bible says that we will all be given new bodies, equipped for eternity. Some will be given bodies equipped for the new heaven and the new earth - I can only imagine how cool those bodies will be. But those who rejected God's offer of salvation will be equipped with bodies that are designed to live forever and constantly experience the torture of the lake of fire. It's not God's desire to send one single person there. But He will, not because HE chose to, but because they chose it by rejecting Him.

God asks in Ezekiel 18:31 & 32 - "Why should you die? ...I take no pleasure in anyone's death. ...So repent and live!"

That's it. That's the simple Truth that offends those who are in love with sin and wickedness. It's the invitation to eternity - but few will accept it. Have you?

There are many ideas floating around about the "Mark of the Beast," what will it be, when will it be implemented, who will have to deal with it...but probably the biggest question is, will it really be as obvious as we've always assumed it would be? Mik breaks down the clues in Revelation 13:16-18 to identify what the MoB will be, and looks at Matthew and Daniel for clues as to when it will happen, and will believers even have to deal with it.

Two of the world's largest faiths are diametrically opposed when it comes to what they believe about the "last days." For true believers of these faiths, the coming months and years are spelled out in prophecies in their religious texts, but to compare them, we find that they are like looking in a mirror.

Let's run through a potential timeline for upcoming events using God's fulfillment of the first spring feasts as a clue as to how He may fulfill the fall feasts - in order, sequentially, in a matter of days, not years. What might that look like?

Jesus used parables to give us instructions for what we should be doing while we "Stand and Wait" for Him to return. If we study these popular parables in that context, instead of separately as they are so often examined, we can get hope and direction for this hour.
