Expanding on the recent Turn Undead discussions, I'd like to ask how others handle these details which are unaddressed in the B/X rulebooks:

1) How far away can the Cleric be from the Undead and still make the turn attempt?

2) Is LOS a factor in the Turn Undead attempt? Say, for example, the Cleric is in the 3rd of 4th rank in a group of PCs. Do all those other people in front of him or her hinder or even prevent the turn attempt?

I personally think that, in order to turn, the Cleric must be up front and boldly presenting his holy symbol to the Undead. However, I'm not as certain about any distance restrictions. So I'm interested to hear what others think.
