I contemplated for a day and a half as to whether or not I ought to write this review.....My experience was horrible! From the first moment I arrived to the end. Upon showing up for my appointment no one greeted me. After taking a seat, it took 3-5 minutes before some said "hello". Then it came time to have my hair cut....Lets just say the girl that cut my hair had no real training experience (Aveda, Toni and Guy, Paul Mitchell) as I had literally had "dips" in my hair (from the person not evenly trimming my hair). Upon leaving, I immediate went to a nearby barbershop and paid them to try to even it out. In 10 years, I have never received such a poor quality hair cut. Never going back!

I called to reschedule my appointment due to a death in the family. The woman who I spoke with charged me $25 dollar cancelation fee. I told her I wanted to reschedule, so it's not really a cancelation. I can't go to a salon right now, I need to go home. Needless to say, there are NO EXCEPTIONS. Because of that I am not going there again. That was my experience.

My experience here was OK. I tried this place because I was able to get a Groupon, so the price was great. The young woman who cut my hair was nice and we chatted. However, it wasn't until I got home that I noticed that one side of my hair was longer than the other side. I ended up trimming it myself to make it even.

I have been going to Lisa since I started college in New Brunswick 10 years ago. I've since moved several times and once, when I was living a little over an hour away from New Brunswick, I decided to try a local salon to avoid the trip (sorry, Lisa!). BIG MISTAKE. I haven't been anywhere else since and I always get compliments on my haircuts. At this point, I trust Lisa to work her magic even when I have no idea what I want to do with my hair.

I had a wonderful experience at Indigo Salon! I got there early because I heard from other reviewers that it was difficult to find. I have no sense of direction and I found it without a problem! As soon as I entered, I was greeted right away. Danielle was my "waxer" and she was absolutely wonderful! We talked the entire time (2 hours!) and made the time pass so quickly! I had gotten waxes in the past, but never this much at once and never a Brazilian. Danielle made me feel completely at ease and not awkward at all about it! She even gave me tips for what to do (and not to do) afterwards, which I would never would have even thought of! I would absolutely recommend going there!!

I went to Indigo this weekend after purchasing a great Groupon! While it was a little hard to find, so are most of the great restaurants in New Brunswick! My Groupon was for a partial highlight, cut/style and blow dry. The stylist, who I believe was Emily, was so easy to talk to that the 5 hours I was there felt like 1! The receptionist was very attentive asking if I wanted coffee or water. My highlighting came out wonderful which is a hard task to do since I've gone to numerous salons and haven't received these results. The stylist also had some great techniques with layering that made my hair fluffy and wispy. I also recommend their hair products. While they are expensive (about $30 dollars for a bottle), those who have had their hair highlighted, know the after effects are straw like hair, but with Indigo's products, my hair actually looks great wet and feels very soft. I would turn down their products, for the price, if they didn't work, but they do. All in all, this salon is a keeper and i'll definately be back for more! Thank you!!

Stephanie gave me a beautiful pixie cut that I still get compliments about 2 months later! She gave me exactly what I asked for and more! The moment I left the salon, I got compliments left and right. Left hair very easy to style and flawless. Even my mom travels from NY for the service now.

Excellent service! I've been going to Indigo for years - and I can honestly say that the entire staff is well-trained in cuts, color, and waxing. And other New Jerseyans agree - Indigo won New Jersey Life: Health and Beauty Magazine's 2010 Reader's Choice Awards for best cut & color! I wouldn't be surprised if they won again this year! Whether you know exactly what you want done, or just want to try something different, you can't go wrong with this salon.
