Please stop seeing #Ebola everywhere in West Africa and in #Africa

Yes, there is Ebola in Africa, but only/mainly in 3 COUNTRIES where everybody's fighting the virus, so that it gets completely gone soon.
Africa is still standing and life is normal.

And the Best President Ever for Corporate Profits is...

Per stock analysis site Motley Fool, President Obama by a better than 2:1 margin over number 2. Republican demi-god Reagan comes in at a paltry 2% growth, while both Bush and Shrub delivered negative numbers.

You can argue how responsible presidents are for these results, but like NFL quarterbacks, they always get the blame so I suppose they should get the credit. Although "credit" for the corporate, hostile takeover of the American economy is a questionable word choice.

Do Republicans Mischaracterize Poor Out of Malice, or from Ignorance?
Red states' unemployment going up despite policies "that work"; so is reality wrong or do we simply need to measure it the "right" way?

Paul Krugman believes right-wingers are simply out of touch, living in a self-perpetuating bubble. I'm skeptical. I believe they know exactly what they are doing. Regardless, Republicans remind me of the old bromide: "Sure it works in the real world, but does it hold up in theory?"

Krugman: "My question for today is instead one of psychology and politics: Why is there so much animus against the unemployed, such a strong conviction that they’re getting away with something, at a time when they’re actually being treated with unprecedented harshness?"

Per Rep. John Boehner, unemployment is high because people are "too lazy to work" because unemployment benefits are too generous. Problem is: 1) Vast majority of unemployed are no longer getting benefits, 2) Per Republican theory, cutting off unemployment benefits should have produced a marked spike in employment, but it did not, 3) Vast majority of those on either unemployment or welfare are poor whites, not the implicitly-criticized "others", "takers" and "47 percent".

And: "Last week Nathan Deal, the Republican governor of Georgia, complained that many states with Republican governors have seen a rise in unemployment and suggested that the feds were cooking the books. But maybe the right’s preferred policies don’t work?"
