Not only can you see the hits here, but you also can see most of the wonderful Indie films that often win the awards. Staff is friendly, parking convenient and there are some great small restaurants within walking distance. Makes for a fun date night or catch a morning movie before lunch.

The neighborhood is interesting. The building has history and character. They screen a broad variety of movies, including classics.

There's no better classic theater in Cleveland. See a movie on the main screen. The millwork and painting are unlike anything you'll see in a modern theater. Also, best collection of indie titles on the west side.

Most uncomfortable theater I've ever been to. All the seats are very close together. I had less the 4 inches between my knees and the seat In front of me. The screen was very small compared to an AMC, and they left a light on in the exit halfway which prevented the theater from getting dark. I must add they have three different rooms. I belive two of them are identical (small crammed theater) and the big room which is where they play their more popular movie. Will try to add photos later

The crown jewel of Cleveland Cinemas. May not have all the ammeneties of the chain theaters, but more than makes up for it with the movies shown, service by the staff, and historic nature.

Love this theatre. Prices are great. Rewards card is a fantastic bargain. Not just the Hollywood over- hyped movies. We attend every chance we can.

This is by far one of my favorite movie theaters. I live on the East side however, I drive all the way to Ohio City just because I love the Capitol Theatre. Located in an absolutely beautiful historic building, this movie theater goes above and beyond normal corporate theaters. They offer an excellent selection of movies (even though there's only 3 at a time) and it's always a treat when your movie is located in the main theater room. This particular theater room has lovely architecture similar to that of Severance Hall but on a much smaller scale. I love coming to the movies here solely because of the architecture and I always take my first-time friends to this theater room to see it. They also have great discount days: Mondays are $6 movies all day, they have a free popcorn day (I believe) , and Thursdays are student discount days also at $6. Absolutely worth it!

I love this theater! As one of the other reviewers said, it's cozy and the seats are very comfortable. I especially enjoy going on Mondays because the tickets are only $6.00. Also, I believe the candy is $1.00 off, and if you buy a small popcorn, for example, you get a small drink for free. I am glad this theater is becoming more and more popular, and I hope the attendance keeps going up and up. This is a great theater to have in Cleveland!! Also, please get their marquee card. It's free, and you can earn some free items after so many tickets purchased at the theater.

"Within the hollow crown
That rounds the mortal temples of a king
Keeps death his court."

Ruling by divine right, but himself ruled by caprice, King Richard exiles Henry Bolingbroke and seizes his father’s vast estates. While Richard is distracted by a rebellion in Ireland, Bolingbroke returns to England, intent on recovering his rightful property and, with the support of his disgruntled peers, perhaps seizing the crown itself.

Dazzlingly eloquent and ceremonious, Richard II invests a weak and self-dramatising man with tragic status and represents Shakespeare’s most searching exploration of the meaning of kingship and the rising powers that can destroy it.

Tickets to Shakespeare's Globe's production of William Shakespeare's Richard II are $15.

"I will not hear thee speak; I’ll have my bond."

Portia, a wealthy heiress of Belmont, is forced to set her suitors a challenge. The winner will win her hand in marriage; the losers will lose her hand and much more. In Venice, the epicentre of consumption, speculation and debt, Bassanio borrows money from his friend Antonio to finance his attempt. Antonio, in turn, takes out a loan from the moneylender Shylock. The loan will be repaid when Antonio’s ships return to the city. But if the ships fail to return, and the money cannot be repaid, Antonio will give to Shylock a pound of his own flesh. And they do fail. And Shylock will have his ‘bond’.

In some of his most highly-charged scenes, Shakespeare dramatises the competing claims of tolerance and intolerance, religious law and civil society, justice and mercy; while in the character of Shylock he created one of the most memorable outsiders in all theatre.

Double Olivier and Tony award winner Jonathan Pryce plays Shylock in his first appearance at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Tickets to Shakespeare's Globe's production of William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice are $15.

Vincentio, Duke of Vienna, disgusted by the immorality in his city, announces his withdrawal from public life and leaves his deputy, the puritanical Angelo, in charge. Angelo, in his zeal for observing the letter of the law, begins a ruthless programme to stamp out sexual licence, in the course of which he condemns one Claudio to death. Surely Claudio’s virginal sister Isabella, a novice nun seeking mercy for her brother, could not awake the lust of this cold, censorious man?

Injustice, hypocrisy and the challenge of inflexible virtue combine in Shakespeare’s most searching exploration of sexual politics and social justice.

Tickets to Shakespeare's Globe's production of William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure are $15.
