Boston Brewin Coffee Co.’s goal is to prosper on a unique, branded value proposition we call “PAY IT 4WARD.” The model’s name derives from the concept of supporting all arms of the coffee business - buying 100% fairly traded beans from the world's very first completely organic coffee roaster who uses profits to build and maintain libraries in Guatemala, socially driven wholesale vendors - such as Haley House Bakery Cafe, and the paying of living wages with health insurance.

I'm lactose intolerant, so I had an almond milk latte with cinnamon and no sugar. Full bodied but not heavy on your stomach. Cozy, clean shop, super friendly staff, fast service. Thanks for a delicious start of pre-finals week! I'll definitely be coming back with friends to slowly conquer your full menu; but then again, your latte was too good to move on. Never again will I go to dunkin donuts or staryucks.

Good coffee and baked goods in the heart of downtown. Not much room to sit, but they moved through the long line quickly. Try the seasonal lattes.

Just popped in, needing an afternoon pick-me-up. Sat down at my desk with a double espresso, and was instantly transported to Italy. Best espresso I've had in a long time. Truly. Well done Boston Brewin.

Was expecting more from dark roast but would give it another try. Organic coffee at reasonable prices. Super friendly staff.

There is no friendlier, tastier, environmentally-sound, socially-responsible coffee shop in the city. This tiny shop serves delicious espresso, coffee and related drinks, along with sandwiches and baked goods. They're fantastic.

Worked downtown for a while and made it a point to stop by every morning, and usually every afternoon. Coffee is about more than the roast - it's about the experience. Starbucks makes you *think* you have a relationship with your barista, but Tom (the crazy coffee shop proprietor) and his team make every visit into something worth talking about. Don't even get me started about Dunkin Donuts.Their coffee is great, baked goods awesome, and apparently they just started offering sandwiches and lunches. If you have some extra time in your hands, ask any of the guys about their bigger vision for Boston Brewin - it's enough to get inspired over.

Live in SF most of the time and in North Beach, so I think I am a coffee expert. Met the owner of Boston Brewin' on Tremont Street while visiting my real hometown for work. Cute little place on equally cute side street. Fun staff, good vibe, and great brew, especially if you are either coding all night or working in one of the area hospitals all night. Near to Omni Parker House and Kimpton's Nine Zero. Go!

This is an outstanding new addition to Downtown Crossing. This hole in the wall coffee shop somehow packs a king-sized wallop of tasty coffee/hot chocolate, delicious locally made baked goods and sandwiches, and incredibly friendly, know-you-by-your-first-name service into its tiny confines. A stop at Boston Brewin is sure to wake you up, fill your stomach, and brighten your day. Be sure to introduce yourself to the owner, Tom.
