"These are the best French Fries - the sugar solution has something to do with the carbohydrates, but by doing it they don't soak up so much grease, so they get crunchy."

And the greatest of these is LOVE.........
Yesterday, I had my eyes
opened to a world to which I have never been exposed. The world of
those who are homeless, jobless and helpless because they made a
mistake at an early age and it has followed them no matter how much
they have tried to improve them...

REUNION 2015
It was a cool night....about 59 degrees.  As different ones began to arrive, laughter and talk filled the air.  There were hugs and handshakes and exchanges of pleasantries.  I sat under the arbor that leads into the yard of Oakhill Plantation armed with pr...

Jeannie Pierce Seegars was a bright, vibrant, talented and loving young woman who lost her life to severe gastroparesis on June 7, 2014 of this year. Jeannie had a hug heart and a passion for helping others. One of the last things she told me was that I must help those that were left fighting this disease in any way possible to help raise awareness of this little known disease and it's ravages on the body. That is why I set up this fund.....so we can use the funds to help those who need to travel to the few doctors around the United States that have some small clue about how to treat this disease. I ask you to please dig deep in your pockets to help us help more families. We have helped 2 so far. Let's make it 100 by Christmas next year......please can you skip just ONE Christmas present this year to give.......just a dollar even......if a lot would give a little....it would grow into a lot........Thank you.......

Story
Tagline
I am a 63 year old wife, mother and grandmother. I have been on disability from Lupus since 1998. I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer. This is my journey.
Introduction
I have been married to Gene Pierce for 45 years.  I have two daughters, Melissa Pierce McKay and Jeannie Pierce Seegars.  Melissa is married to Tim McKay - the finest son-in-law a mother could ever want - and she has two children, Pierce (seen in my profile picture) who is17 and is on the autism spectrum, and Reagan, a beautiful 14 year old. Both of these grandchildren are the loves of my life.  My daughter Jeannie struggled for 21 years with a debilitating disease called severe gastroparesis. On September 14, 2013, she married a wonderful young man named Ardell Seegars. It was a heartbreaking love story that ended in the death of my daughter after only 8 months - the result of her disease.
Bragging rights
I went to college at the age of 34 and earned a degree in Math/Computer Science. After school, I was hired as a computer programmer and ended up being a Systems Designer. I worked there for 10 years until I had to take disability because of a severe lupus flare.
