It's time to swallow my pride and reach out and ask you for help, something I do not like to do. I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 which is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk and even...

Making this again for the 2nd time...... it was ok the first time around but I wasn't crazy about it because I adding too much of some thing.....its been a while since then so I went exactly as the recipe says but I cut everything in half because there's just 2 of us......dont need THAT much 😄😉 and used only 1 TBSP of soy sauce and added a TBSP of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce.....I have a tendancy to add more meat or noodles to recipes because I like things hearty like that and then they don't turn out exactly the way they're supposed to because my mind always like to think that more might be better. It smells much better, it looks much better, and it tastes much better!

Second time ordering online from Harbour House.....I have been 100% completely satisfied both times. The first order was a dozen large crabs, that were seasoned and cooked perfectly and PACKED full of meat. The order arrived FAST and very well packed. Second order was the 'Dinner for Two with Jumbo Crabs'. Again, the crabs were perfectly seasoned and steamed and PACKED full of meat. Steamed shrimp, crab cakes and espresso brownies also come with the Dinner for Two. This turned out to be 2 dinners for us.....the crabs alone were a meal. The next day we had the shrimp and crab cakes. The shrimp were insanely good, again perfectly seasoned and steamed. Probably some of the best shrimp I've ever had. The crab cakes were perfect...very little filler, just enough to hold everything together and perfectly seasoned without overpowering the delicate crab meat. The espresso brownies...rich and decadent! I couldn't be happier with Harbour House! Customer service, shipping and their seafood are all outstanding! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've eaten at the Pier Cafe 2 times a year for the past 7 years, the food and service was always good until this year. Their crab cakes used to be the BEST in Virginia Beach. We ate there this afternoon 15 August 2015 and the crab cakes were absolutely awful Fishy smelling, off flavor and it was all claw meat, kinda like a crab cake you would expect to get from Long John Silvers. Absolutely the worst crab cake I've ever had and a waste of I think it was $13.99 or $14.99. My wife got the fish and chips which was soggy and dripping with grease. The wait staff last year and this year were very unprofessional, eating and joking in front of the customers between taking orders. Very bad experience and will not spend that kinda money again for not even mediocre food.

Second time eating here, second time being disappointed. Got the jumbo beef sandwich, the meat was very inconsistently sliced, very thick slices mixed with thin slices like it should be. Chewy, dry and bland. I will try anything once and even if I don't like it, I'll try it again to give the benefit of the doubt. Won't fool me again.
