Heavy Weighted Dips are basically the upper body squat and are a fantastic exercise for building a thick chest and big triceps! If you are not incorporating them into your push workout, start doing them next session šŸ‘ŠšŸ’Ŗ

Amit hitting the hack squat hard, focusing on a consistent contractile range and working to a tempo!

When you think of progressive overload, people focus mainly on the weight. Actually contractile range and tempo are ways of increasing the stimulus to create progressive overload. For example if you hit 5 sets of 5 on an exercise at X amount of weight with a 2 second eccentric contraction. If next training session, on the same exercise, you hit the same reps and weight with a 3 second eccentric contraction, that is also progressive overload!

At the same time when considering increasing the weight as a stimulus, contractile range and tempo must be considered as variables. There is little point in increasing the weight if you are going to sacrifice these. It is important to try and keep the range and tempo the same or as close to the same as possible!

Try to get the full pectoral stretch on the Flys and add in a drop set on the presses for good measure.
