Unless you like living with roaches, please read!! Just wanted to warn people who are thinking about staying at any of the resorts associated with Gatlinburg Falls Resort, Cabins of the Smoky Mountains and Cabins of Pigeon Falls. We rented a 12 bedrooms cabin at the Cabins of the Smokey Mountains. They should change the name to "Roach Motel". I called a minimum of 7 times. Monday, Tuesday (bug lady did come but we happen to be out white water rafting - no notice that they were coming or that they had been - would not spray as no one was there), on Wednesday I called 4 times starting at 8: 46AM plus a visit to the office in the early afternoon. I was told they came into the resort at 10 and they would be at "Above the Stars" no later then 11 AM. I happen to see the bug lady on Thursday and she said she had only gotten one notification to come and that was on Tuesday (even thought I had called on Monday and told them this was a serious roach problem) and she came on Tuesday. Even after 4 phone calls and a visit to the resort office on Wednesday, they never told her to come back. She also told me that they told her we said it was OK to wait until we left on Saturday!!!! Please know I am not taking a few roaches, I am talking hundreds, not only in the kitchen but in the bathrooms, on the bedroom floors, crawling into our luggage and right before we left Saturday morning one of our party found them alive in her bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had to wash and rewash all of the dishes, pots, pans (the very few that was provided) cups and utensils every time we wanted to use something. We had to go to the store and buy boxes of large baggies to store our food in as the roaches were every where you looked. I have complained to everyone who acted like they cared but I know now I was just being blown off until we left on Saturday. I asked for a partial refund and was told they would give us a 30% discount when we come back. Like that's going to happen in this lifetime. I did warn them I would be posting to as much social media as I could find. By the way, other than having to live with roaches for 7 days, we had a great vacation!!

My family and I stayed at Gatlinburg Falls Resort in Pigeon Forge and stayed at the cabin Eagles Point. When we checked in there was garbage bags outside on the deck that stunk. I called and told them about it and I was told that I needed to be patient. The hot tub did not work, we only had 5 bath towels when the cabin was for 12 people. The pullout bed on the couch had a hole that kept sinking in so we had to put pillows underneath it. All the other cabins had a storage made out of a cage outside their cabin for their garbage to lock in so that the animals wouldn't get to it, and ours didn't have that so the animals kept getting into it and we ended up having to bring our garbage cans inside our cabin at night time. The only reason we stayed here was because we stayed at the same resort of theirs but we stayed at the Gatlinburg location, which was amazing and there were absolutely no complaints about the Gatlinburg location we stayed at. But the one we stayed at in Pigeon Forge was horrible.

!!! STAY AWAY !!! This was a nightmare of epic proportions and ruined our family vacation. Our rented cabin was dirty and in disrepair with waste water seeping from tiles in master bathroom, bedbugs in master bed, food in carpets, lightening fixtures that were shorting out or had bad bulbs, floors were not vacuumed or mopped, doors that did not work preventing access to porch, hot tub that had broken panels, and customer service that did not look to resolve but simply make excuses.

The most horrible experience that I have ever encountered in my life at what is called a luxury cabin resort. What luxury anything do you know does not have any hot running water or water at all for that matter. The maintenance problems were an ongoing issue from beginning to end and the ataff were rude, unaccomodating and extremely unprofessional. Especially the guest representative by the name of Laney. I could not believe how rude she was. Whatever you do...DO NOT book a cabin at Gatlinburg Falls (Venture Resort). While the pcitures appear to be nice and all when you actually arrive you will be given a very rude awakening. Furniture is broken or nasty, hot tubs do not work or have not been cleaned, cabin appears to be wiped down but not cleaned, beds are old and uncomfortable and there is no kind of assistance once you begin to voice a complaint. Never again will I even utilize these cabins. the General Manager, Mr. Billy Parris should speak to me himeself to get the full story on how awful an experience this was for myself and the 12 other people that accompanied me in this anything less than luxury cabin. Heaven's Hidden View was absolutely the furthest thing from heaven than there ever could be. The guest rep Laney needs to be FIRED as she does not have a customer service oriented bone in her body. Completely disgusted and considering all the bad reviews shown, some even with the same issues we plan to take legal action against the resort.

I would not recommend staying in the cabin we had on this trip. We stayed at High Ground and were disappointed. I feel this cabin needs some major work if it is to be rented again. The carpeting in two of the rooms is very frayed. In fact, in the bottom bedroom it was so bad that we caught our feet in it and almost tripped. The showers were functional, but just. They were not as described on the website. The toilet in the downstairs bedroom ran all night long and had hot water being run through it so the room was sweltering all the time! The smoke detector in one room was missing and there were bare wires hanging from the ceiling where it was supposed to be. This was a major concern as my husband was a firefighter. We had a coffee machine, but no carafe to go with it. We mentioned this right away and called about it. The lady said she would take care of it, but after 2 days we still had nothing so I went down to the office and they gave me a pot out of a back room that was covered in dust. There were no remotes for the DVD players and no extra blankets. We had a group of 6 high school graduates and only 4 of them had a blanket. We asked for more at the office, but were told they didn't have any clean ones at the moment. They never offered to wash and bring up any later and we spent the whole week there shuffling bedding between beds. The biggest disappointment was the hot tub was not functioning. We specifically asked for a cabin with a hot tub and were looking forward to using it. When we arrived we tried to start it, but could not get it to work. After calling down to the office we were told they had problems with it and the motor was out. They could have let us know this as we checked in and handled it right away. Instead I had to go down to the office and have them take off the hot tub fee. That would have been fine if we had known before or as we checked in and could have made other arrangements. Forget calling to try and solve a problem, you are put on hold Forever! I highly doubt we will stay here again.

Do not book with this "resort"!! We stayed at 'Little piece of heaven". I was told that the cabin we stayed in was "new". Online it shows a pic of awesome mountain views. We pull in and it's wooded and dark in cabin. Cabin is OLD and run-down not new. Yard was un-mowed. So embarrassed cause I took my mom and sis away for my mom's 70th birthday and was excited for her to stay in a " luxury cabin" with beautiful views! We were lied to! "Managers" are not accommodating and do not care for their guests!! Take your business elsewhere.

Heaven on Earth - NOT! Have been going to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area twice a year for the past 15 years and have rented from many rental companies. I've never complained about a rental before Gatlinburg Falls Resort. This 5 BR cabin showed beautifully on the website but was dirty and in disrepair. Vents covered with pet hair, dirty carpet, lights with exposed wiring or hanging by wiring, broken towel bar, heat registers corroded with food and rust, broken lamps, missing wires making the dvd players in bedrooms unusable, a leak from the kitchen dripping down on the pool table, outside spigot hanging off the wall. But the worst part is the lack of consideration and help from management. When we went to the office to report this, we were told that they were fully booked (not true!) and couldn't move us to another cabin, but if we had something to do out of the cabin, repairs would be made and we would be called. Never received a call. Got back and the leak was repaired and spigot fixed but nothing else. 8 pm that evening, a maintenance person came to clean the dirty carpet. He sprayed carpet cleaner all over but his machine would not work. He blocked off the area with chairs and said he would return the next morning...he never did. No follow up by management at all. I've written to management and was offered a 10% discount on a return trip and to "Have a Blessed Day". What a joke! And trying to get a response from the general manager is evidently impossible. So discourteous. I guess there is a reason they don't have a place for reviews on their website. RENTER BEWARE! I wish someone had warned me.

I read a lot of reviews before selecting this location and I tell you I took a chance and went out on a limb. Fortunately for my wife and I that chance paid off. We stayed three days just for a quick simple relaxing getaway and that's what we got. We stayed in "Mountain Dreams" with beautiful scenery, quiet clean cabin that was everything the website said it was. It wasn't 100% but is anything anymore? I would however come back and stay in this very cabin. We were minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, very simple to navigate during the day. I advise not checking in or navigating at night as one of the cons to this place is the staff, at least the rep I got wasn't very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. I got lost and was more or less told to find my way back to the beginning and start over. Once I arrived the lone attendant was very helpful, very nice and quite the multitasker. Checkin took a little longer than I expected being the only one checking in and all... She was nice as I said, apologized for her timeliness and got me taken care of. Once to the cabin which was VERY easy to find from the check in everything was just great. TV's worked, hot water worked, entertainment centers functional, hot tub clean and HOT, clean, pleasant environment, had all essential cookware, dishes etc. Another con would be the Wood Bees.... I HATE bees especially the ones the size of small birds.... I grilled out for dinner and played run around the Bees for a while. A good 6 or 7. I purposefully made the grill smokey as to drive them away for a bit. Maybe it's a seasonal thing but I advise you bring Wood Bee traps if you don't like bees. One last thing and I won't call it a con because the staff may very well not be aware yet however the washer/dryer unit was VERY LOUD and not very good at drying. This can be fixed and I'm sure it will be. It wasn't an issue for 3 days, had I of stayed a week or longer it could have been. Hope this honest letter helps to persuade and not dissuade became its a very nice place. As I said earlier nothing is 100% unless your paying $2k/night rate in which case I'm out.
