Tulip Field, North Holland

The tulip season in Holland is as brief as it is beautiful. There are only a couple of weeks from late April to early May when the flowers are in full bloom and before they are cut for sale. The weather the last few weeks has not been great but a couple of days ago it was pleasant enough and I decided it was probably my last chance so I grabbed the camera and headed north. Many of the fields had already been cut, but every now and again I would come across fields of stunning color.
