Because I'm a visual learner, it's not a surprise that Pinterest is one of the most inspiring platforms for me. It's a place that really gets my creative juices going, and so that's why these posts are so much fun for me. After dealing with a couple of sad and difficult months, I'm getting back into the zone. I'm a lot more motivated than I have been recently so stay tuned! If you like these kinds of posts too, you'll probably like ...

I've had some trouble nailing the whole boyfriend jeans trend. I've always loved them and admired how effortless they look on other women, but I always found it hard to pull them off as a short, 5'2 woman with hips. Because they're baggy and loose they can easily look sloppy, but after putting together lots of different outfits and figuring out what works for me and what doesn't, I finally feel comfortable wearing them. I put togeth...

Like most women, I don't have that much time to do my makeup. I always seem to be rushing around these days, but I can confidently say I've figured out what works best for me on days when I have a just few minutes to spare to get my full-face makeup done. After I cleanse and give my moisturizer some time to set in, a lot of times I skip primer and go straight into foundation with either a beauty blender or my Real Techniques Ex...

I'm all about simplifying my makeup this Spring. I know that during the colder months I seem to wear more makeup and so it's nice once it starts getting warmer to take less time and keep it more minimal. I start by using an illuminating face primer (I love the L'Oreal Paris Lumi one) mainly where my makeup fades the fastest (nose, center of the forehead and chin, and a little on the cheeks) I've switched my foundation for a sheer bb...

Although we didn't have much of a winter this year, I am so happy it is spring time. It's one of my favorite seasons- flowers are growing, trees are blooming and becoming full again, there's green grass and little animals being born. How could someone hate spring? If you've followed my blog for a while then you know I love posting a list of seasonal DIY's. Let's get on with these Spring ones, shall we? (the word "shall" makes me laug...

Life can be stressful. There is never a time when I'm not stressed about all the million things I need to get done, and it can really be overwhelming when it feels like it's one thing going wrong after another. One of my favorite ways to wind down is with a face mask. There's nothing more relaxing than coming home from a rough day at work, applying a face mask, and settling in for the night. I've rounded up my current favorite masks ...

If I had to describe my personal style I'd say that I've always been a jeans and t-shirt kind of person, I like to keep it simple because that's when I'm the most comfortable and confident. I've always had kind of a boy-ish sense of style, but I love wearing lightweight and flowy pieces to add a bit of femininity. I've always been inspired by 70s fashion- the earthy tones, adding texture to an outfit with lace or crochet, fringe and s...
