Great place for lunch and a beer. We had the fish n chips roasted beet salad and two flat bread pizzas. The fish was cooked perfectly, roasted beets were well seasoned and the pizzas were great. The entire family loved each of our meals. Great environment, service, and food.

Thought this place would be good based on past reviews, but was sadly disappointed. Went there with some friends to enjoy a few beers after a tour and they were out of the first three we picked (one of which our waitress said they had never carried. So why was it on the menu?) When we got 2nd rounds, they had run out of another two beers. This was a Saturday mind you! We also got some food which was okay but the waitress wouldn't make substitutions. The last straw was when we wanted to split our check. The waitress said they didn't do that there which seemed odd. I have been to some pretty upscale places and some hole-in-the-walls, and have always been able to split a check. Overall, had a really negative experience and wouldn't go again.

Hey Katie, we're sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us and we will absolutely check on our beer orders to be sure that this doesn't happen in the future. Our menus change quite often and we apologize that they weren't updated to reflect our choices in a timely manner. Thank your for your feedback regarding your service, we take it seriously and will do all we can to correct this type of behavior. We would truly love for you to come back and give us a second chance, perhaps for one of our hand-crafted cocktails created by our experienced bartenders!

Food was excellent along with our waitress and we didn’t find it pricey at all. Great location, just up a block or so from the Long Wharf. We’ll be back next year when we are in town!

Hey Mini! Thanks for giving us such a rave review! We take pride in our menu and our servers and we'll be sure to send your approval along to our kitchen and floor staff. We look forward to having you when you're back in town!

Chicken and Waffles. Don't order anything else, thats the best item on any menu in the city.
Response from the owner - 3 weeks ago
We think so too! But we promise the rest of our items are up to par as well! Thanks for the great review and rating and we look forward to serving you up some delicious chicken and waffles again!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night after checking out the tourist attractions in the area. I ordered the Steak Frites, while the husband ordered the Fish 'n Chips. Both meals were tasty - even though my steak came with a chimichuri sauce on top (which typically has cilantro), it wasn't overpowering. The arugula salad and fries were presented well. Good beer selections on tap. Good washrooms. Overall a nice experience.

Hey Vanessa, thanks for checking us out! We're so glad you had a great experience and thrilled that you took the time to write us a positive review. Next time you're in the area, come check out our new late night menu!

I go here every now and then to get a beer and chicken and waffles. I was surprised at how good it was the first time I had it, so I get the same thing every time. All of the bartenders are nice.
Response from the owner - 3 weeks ago
Hey Andrew, we're glad you're impressed with our signature dish and its consistency. Although we do promise the rest of our food is just as great! Thank you for your great review and we truly appreciate your repeat visits.

Our company hosted it's office party here on Friday Dec 12, 2014. Personally, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the menu selection was huge, my pick for the company gave us a blend of carbs, meat and veggies. The food was mouth-watering. Krista our host and the servers were very professional and polite. I got complements from all the associates for the place, food and atmosphere. Great job Krista and the Granary team.

Granary Tavern is an ideal place to grab food and drinks with a friend or colleague. Right in the financial district, they have a good selection of beers and cocktails at reasonable prices. If you're hungry, the BBQ pulled pork nachos are worth a try.
