A rally took place between Oxford and Lapeer to show support for the Confederate flag: http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.ssf/2015/07/rolling_rally_held_in_lapeer-a.html
Some of the stars and stripes in the back of their vehicles were U.S. flags, but they were all joined by the Confederate flag as the group of people held a rolling rally to show support for the symbol they say is not connected to racism, but to heritage.

This fundraiser event for a memorial in honor of 9-year-old Omarion Humphrey is set for Monday, July 27, in Davison Township: http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.ssf/2015/07/fundraiser_set_for_memorial_in.html
The fundraiser is scheduled to begin 5 p.m. July 27 at the Lake Callis Grand Pavilion, 1152 N. Gale Road, and will include food, a silent auction, duck pond, and balloons to be released at night's end.

Genesee County Sheriff's deputies, Flint police and two ambulance companies responded around 1:45 p.m. Sunday to Sutton Avenue, between Prospect and Wolcott streets for a stabbing.

Firefighters worked for hours to contain flames piercing the night sky after 9 p.m. at the corner of Lewis Street and Delaware Avenue, situated on the west side of a tree line from two vacant homes.

Lt. David Kaiser of the Michigan State Police said troopers attempted to stop the vehicle around 6:45 p.m., engaged their emergency lights, but the woman did not stop and the pursuit began.

He told police he was at a party on Page Street and heard several gunshots in the area, then realized a short time later he'd been shot in the back.

Brick layers are also expected on-site to lay down bricks in the downtown area this week, according to Mike Burns, the city's assistant city manager and DDA executive director.

A high of 91 degrees is forecast for both Monday and Tuesday this week, the first time the area may see back-to-back 90-degree days since September 9-10 2013, when temperatures reached 96 and 92, respectively.

Genesee County Park Chief Ranger Kevin Shanlian said the boy was found around closing time at the beach off Bray Road. They immediately began to search for the boy's family, with the mother eventually contacting Flint police after 10 p.m.

The spelling of the name may not have been the same, but many knew her simply as "Mrs. Bendle."
