Farm Instructors Continue to Work with Veteran Farmers in Mississippi

Our farmer instructors in Mississippi have been working hard with their veteran farmers to improve farm conditions and increase profitability. The photo on the left is Farmer Tre’ with his mentees in Jackson, Mississippi. Tre’ has been working with a veteran in Philadelphia, MS. He hopes to work with the veteran in getting his farm to switch from conventional to organic farming techniques. Our farm instructor and her veteran in Biloxi, Mississippi have also been successful in working together to improve farm conditions, despite the less than favorable soil conditions of the gulf coast area. The farm instructor has worked with the veteran to help his piglets survive the flooded farm area. We are very excited to see that changes have been made to help the veterans and look forward to continuing down this path of success!
