Everything in the front display is a 2. Everything on the right is a 4. The bread is a 5. I've tried the eclairs, macarons, cakes, and about half the pastries in the display and was disappointed 100% of the time. But the bread is delicious and the cookies, croissants, etc. are good. Go for the bread.

I ordered their eclairs and they came shaped with an almost star pointed pattern to the chocolate. There was even gold leaf applied as a label on the pastry. It looked too good to eat. Then I ate it. It was perfect. The cream had a flavor I can only describe as subtlety but powerful. It transformed and lingered on my tongue, I have never tasted another pastry that good since. Also, the place is absolutely beautiful with a nice simple architecture and rich highlights. A must visit in this smallish town.

I was a bit underwhelmed by Bouchon, but I still had a very high-quality meal here. My entree, the trout amandine, was phenomenal. Rich and light. Good balance of textures with the soft trout and the crunchy almonds The salmon and chickpea fries starters were good but not exceptional. The heirloom tomato salad didn't deliver on the promise of basil. The service was good but not impeccable. Small nit: for example, my napkin wasn't folded when I returned from the restroom. The atmosphere was excellently French (never been but that's the feeling I got). I liked the tall ceilings. The music was a little off. Sometimes too high-energy.

Definitely met my expectations! We stopped here while driving thru napa for an afternoon snack and an iced coffee. Glad we made the stop!

Coffee needs to be improved! How can you have a bakery with poor coffee. It's like having a nice meal with a corked wine. Bakery is great! And so are the macaroons. I would invest in a good coffee machine! Especially when it's a high end bakery brand like Bouchon Bakery. #dissatisfied #bakery #bouchon

Macarons galore with fresh baked breads and pastries to boot! After waiting in a monster line and finally getting to the display case to order, everything looked so delicious. I wanted to try everything, hmm maybe that’s how they trick you here? Anyway, we had a chance to get a number of items from various macarons to croissants to peanut butter cups. I’m not the biggest fan of macarons, but these were something special. I was sold! I want more! Their croissants are large, flaky, and buttery. It’s pretty safe to say, all the baked goods served here are great. The only negative I can think of is the steep price for each of the items. Prices start adding up quickly if you’re not watching and letting your stomach do the ordering.

Nestled aside its restaurant, do not miss the adorable mint-colored Bouchon bakery. Although notorious for its macarons, I found the oh oh (think: Hostess ding dong) and peanut butter cream cookie sandwich the stars out of the huge batch of pastries we tried. Both are perfect paired with coffee while lounging in the outdoor patio enjoying the view of downtown Napa and the unusual number of cute puppies passing by.
