Simply a wonderful property. Staying at this hotel is a true pleasure. Beautiful, relaxing, classy, and most of all - they make you feel like you belong there. We walked into Balboa Island in the morning and I'm sure God was with us enjoying every step. This is my pick for the best Hyatt hotel in our wonderful country. Plan a visit - I promise, you will not be disappointed. The quality staff will make you very happy. This place makes you forget the awful traffic around LA. Enjoy.

Location is great, right off jamboree but nothing useful around besides gas stations. Seems a little too pricey for what they offer and for how far it is from the beach. Drinks from the bar were decent, one was too sweet and other was way too strong after I told them about the first. But it is Newport so you're paying for location. Rooms have outdated ac and popcorn ceilings. Just an old hotel with new pricing, won't be staying again.

Hotel is beautiful, clean and great staff. Our room on the first floor was a little noisy at night. Would definitely return!

Very friendly and excellent service, great location driving distance from the beach, clean room, and provided many complimentary amenities. Only con was that we were in a non smoking room, but someone was smoking on the room or ground below us and the smell would quickly fill into ours if the window was left open. Or people would smoke those thick cigars in common areas you need to walk through or that I would have liked to enjoy too. It didn't bother me much, but I can see how people with little kids can have an issue. Plus we were gone most of the day anyway. Overall, we had a great one night stay and will definitely be returning to this Hyatt next time we visit the area.

Love the location of this hotel. My room is great and has a view of the bay out of my back window, with a little porch and table and chairs. One of the three pools is right outside my front door which is also awesome. I've never stayed in the Newport area before but I love it. Fashion Island is right across the hotel, beaches are just quick drives away, and being on Jamboree Street allows quick access to other neighboring cities. I only have two complaints about the hotel, and I feel they're pretty minor. My room is super great, the bed is comfy, it's updated and modern, but there is no sound proofing anywhere. My first night there were families on both sides of me and above me. Kids were being kids but I could hear it all. And if anyone snores, you can hear that all night as well. That was the problem my second night. And then this morning I could hear my neighbor's wake up call, so I got to be awake as well. The other thing I don't particularly love is the self-parking. It's actually kind of a trek to get to my vehicle from my room and vice versa. Thankfully the weather is beautiful so it's not a bad walk, just further than I want to go every morning on my way out and on my way back in. But like I said, I do feel those are small inconveniences. I really do like the style and comfort of my room, I had breakfast brought to my room in the morning which was great, and the staff I've come in contact with have been super friendly and helpful. I have two more trips here before the end of the year is through and I'll most likely stay here again. I'll just bring ear plugs next time.

The Hyatt Regency Newport Beach is a beautiful resort overlooking Newport Dunes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and tastefully decorated. We were served lunch. The food was very good and the couscous was excellent.

The hotel and surrounding area is beautiful. It is tucked just inside of Back Bay in Newport. I enjoyed a drink with friends in their lounge, the decor was very modern, staff was friendly and service was great. It's a wonderful place to come if you are a local, or just visiting from out of town.
