It was amazing, beautiful, eclectic, enormous. Nothing will ever replace it. I hope the owners of this building never find a better tenant after raising their rent so astronomically.

Great place. Everyone very friendly. There are some really nice things to find there. Was able to get my ginseng and bee pollen supplements at a great price. Went back on my second trip to try the Tiger Balm.

Sad that this location will be closing, but I love the store itself. Incredible number of products plus a snack section 😀

Great place to find some last minute gifts, some home decor and if you want to decorate your place with some asian influence. Prices are so affordable and quality is pretty good, even though most of the stuff is made in china. Good spot to just walk around with a date or kill some time if you're in the area. Staff is wonderfully helpful. Public bathroom in the basement for a neighborhood with almost no public bathrooms is a great plus for the tourist who visit often to Soho.

I've never been to Pearl River Mart~~but I've had a long-distance relationship with them for many years. No matter where I've lived, Pearl River has filled my online orders quickly and efficiently. I am addicted to sandalwood soap---in addition to its wonderful scent, I always have plenty of bars on hand to give as impromptu gifts as well as for my own use. Prices are unbeatable and service is slick! You can't go wrong if you order online!

I went about a month before they closed and it was a bit lackluster compared to how it used to be as you expect when a store is clearing inventory. They had signs posted they are looking for another location but until they do, it's now permanently closed.

love Chinatown, weaving in and out of the stores, and finding little kitschy items for cheap prices. Imagine my surprise when someone mentioned I try this instead of the regular Chinatown shops. I was in heaven! It is everything you could ever want - from Asian textiles and foods, to art, to silly little tchotchkes from Asia. I could have easily spent three times the money I spent, and I left some things behind that I really, really wanted. Its a great place to pick up some NYC souvenirs for people and some great little things I haven't seen before. My friend found a great big pair of shears that she has been looking for since forever. The chopsticks, tea cups, tea pots, tea sets, tea, and pottery selection is amazing, and don't even get me started on the textiles. A great place, you should go!
