Flatbread/Saccos is heaven for my toddler, and the atmosphere and food is great for adults too. That's a pretty unique combination! Delicious pizza, great bowling, a wood-fired oven which has provided fodder for many hours of pretend pizza-making play and keeps my kiddo happy while he waits. And the pizza is seriously so, so good.

YUM! I love this place! I got a vegetarian pizza - alfredo sauce, mushrooms, onions and broccoli and it was amazing. The interior was extremely cozy and charming with dim lighting and a wood fired oven. You may not even notice your situated next to the candle pin bowling action. The food is a bit on the pricey end, but I think it's worth it. They do, however, have cheap beer - Narragansett cans for only $2.75. The bowling is $25 an hour for a lane, $2 for shoes. Now that's a bit pricey. But it's a cool experience to candle pin bowl in an old fashioned place where you have to push a button to reset the pins. Be warned if you're a newbie - it's difficult! At least for me. Anyway, it's super trendy and cute and would make for an adorable date place. Take note. :)

This place is interesting. I wish I had been there before it turned over ownership in order to have something to compare it to, so this review is just based on it's current state. There are 2 separate host stands: one for dining and one for bowling. Slightly confusing. There is an open kitchen which you have to walk past in order to get to the bar, so if you are sensitive to strong odors, be prepared. The bar itself is made out of a bowling lane: very cool touch. There are only local beers, which is cool if you are into local breweries...the pizza is good, but I don't understand why they can't just cut it like a normal pizza...? It makes for some very awkwardly long slices with no crust and some really short slices that are mostly crust. It's a fun environment (aside from the very hot fireplace in the dining room, but maybe it's just me who doesn't like to sit by a fire in the middle of summer...)

Really enjoyed the dinner here. Hand tossed pizzas, wood fired ovens...awesome. The meat pizzas were the best for me, particularly the homemade sausage pizza. Has a very diveish feel, which is appealing to me for sure. Throw in the bowling alley, great selection of local beers and this was a definite hit. I recommend it if you are in the Cambridge area.

I liked this place a lot. The pizza was delicious, drinks were great, atmosphere lovely and it's right off the highway with easy parking. What a great place to congregate with friends for good fresh ingredient pizza. Plus, the open flame oven is there for all to see. I would definitely go back.

Flatbread in Somerville is one of my top few pizza places in the Boston area, especially for gluten free pizzas. The unique and seasonal fresh ingredients make the experience enjoyable no matter what I order. On the weekends, expect a wait, because Flatbread is simply the best in town. This location also offers a small bowling alley adjacent to the dining room tables, but if you want to play you need to call early in the morning and get on the list, as it fills up very quickly. I highly recommend trying something new when you come here, and the gluten free desserts are also fantastic.

It was very good flatbread. The only reason. For the 4 stars if the high volume. It is not too overbearing as the establishments atmosphere is conducive to a louder room.

Very surprising. From the outside looks like a rundown bowling alley but then you get inside and they have great beer, pizza made of local ingredients, and amazing atmosphere. Definitely must visit.
