Good find-- value to brands may be the wrong measure. In fact, using this metric GM considered Facebook a "ghost town" when it came to impact on sales for them.
Well said and I found this on my stream in G+ along with tons of other posts.. full of rich content. I too love to learn about others, everyone has a story and I feel privileged to be able to hear and see their information in my stream and in hangouts.. They can call us ghosts if they want.. I for one find much to enjoy here.. sans the ads.

- Pinterest is working for two reasons: it is image-based, and it appeals to women in a thousand different ways that men don't care about. I say that having watched my wife build an obsession with that's different from FB. Even my mother-in-law, who loathes all social networking, is falling in love with it. G+ is a different beast, with different goals. Google is apparently getting what they need from it. Everybody needs to stop thinking that all social networks are the same.
