HIT Training, the largest supplier of training and apprenticeships in the hospitality industry, has launched four new apprenticeship standards.

HIT has introduced the Hospitality Supervisor, Team Leader, Chef de Partie and Customer Service Practitioner standards, in addition to the Commis Chef and Hospitality Team Member standards which launched last year.

HIT Training has partnered with the award-winning Eden Hotel Collection to launch a bespoke training facility - Eden Chef Academy.

The academy supports the new Commis Chef and Professional Cookery Level 2 Apprenticeships and will be based at Eden Hotel Collection’s ‘Centre of Excellence’ - Mallory Court Hotel in Leamington Spa..

Spearheading the development of apprenticeships in the Foodservice Industry HIT Training, is working with a Hambleton-based business to be among the first in the county to deliver the new apprenticeship standards for Commis Chefs.

The standards, which came into effect from 1st August 2016 and were developed by the Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group, are being implemented by Chapters Deli, Bistro & Wine Bar.

Forest Fungi mushroom farm in Dawlish Warren was the venue for this quarter’s Devon Chefs’ Forum event held on Monday 26th September.

Hospitality students from HIT Training and a local college joined Michael Wignall in the Induced Energy Induction kitchen at the Forest Fungi cafe.

They produced stunning canapés showcasing top quality produce from Chefs’ Forum suppliers!
