Save a life, change a life.
Just 33p a day from your small change could help a woman escaping domestic violence find safety in one of our refuges.
We help thousands of women and children through our network of refuges each year. Your support could mean the end to months or years of violence for a woman, or the end to a child witnessing the trauma of domestic abuse. By giving just over 33p a day (£10 a month), you can give them the opportunity to build a safe and independent life free from domestic violence.

DOMESTIC: VIOLENCE/MURDER. And the: CHILDREN.

The devastating impact domestic violence can wage against the children who witness it is, TRAUMA.

We are seeing a number of cases’ where a spouse has been severely attacked in the presence of children, Perpetrator jailed & yet, Courts are saying that the perpetrator has the right to see the children.

Now forgive me if I’m a little thick, but I would say there is a clear case of child abuse! Because: if the child/Children were forced to witness the attack, it is a clear case of Psychological Abuse.

Where then I ask myself are the learned amongst our child services, police & social services! Not getting involved in a test case a! CARERS!

NOTE: Your: Right!  Make a formal allegation of psychological Child Abuse, in writing, keep a copy, & get an acknowledgement of receipt: Of your formal complaint of Psychological Child Abuse!  You may want to deliver it by hand or Registered Post, Once you have some sort of proof: Give it a reasonable time, say a week & if you have heard nothing. Go to your local court and ask the judge/magistrate if you can “supine” the Social Services, to inform the court why no action has been taken.

Domestic violence 'reaching crisis' (& that’s being diplomatic)

Domestic violence against women in the UK has reached "crisis" proportions, according to a hard-hitting report released today.

One in four British women will experience abuse at the hands of a partner during their lives.

The same proportion will be sexually assaulted or raped - normally by someone they know.

'Culture of tolerance'

These shocking statistics are being unveiled by human rights charity Amnesty International, which is blaming a "culture of tolerance" for the epidemic of domestic violence.

It is also calling on the police and Government to drastically improve the way such crimes are investigated and punished. "In the UK violence against women in the family is at crisis point," said Amnesty International secretary general Irene Khan.

"Behind closed doors and in secret, women are subjected to violence by their partners and close relatives, are too ashamed and afraid to report it and are seldom taken seriously when they do."

Hitting woman 'is okay'

There were 635,000 incidents of domestic violence in England in 2002 and new figures reveal the extent to which domestic violence is tolerated in Britain. One in three adults: believes hitting a woman is "okay" under certain circumstances.

Amnesty International also points to the poor record of prosecutions for such violent crime.

Less than three out of 10 domestic violence incidents reported to police result in conviction and only one in four are recorded.
Not treated seriously enough

Recent court cases, Ms Khan added, prove that domestic violence is not treated seriously enough.

Andrew Dexter, for example, will serve a minimum of just seven years in jail for the GBH, torture and manslaughter of his girlfriend Sharon Franklin.

The 33-year-old, from Nuneaton, inflicted an appalling catalogue of injuries upon 32-year-old Ms Franklin, who suffered blowtorch burns, 17 skull scars and a collapsed lung. But parole laws mean his two life sentences could see him freed.

Sex trafficking rife

The Amnesty campaign also highlights the crisis in domestic violence across the rest of the world.

Sex trafficking is also rife, with 700,000 women caught up in global prostitution every year.

Myra Johnson, policy chief for UK domestic violence charity Women's Aid said: "In this country alone the statistics are shocking.

"Two women die every week as a result of domestic violence. Our relationship with the police in assisting victims has improved but there is still a long way to go in changing attitudes."

A Home Office spokeswoman said it was working closely with other government departments to "prevent domestic violence happening or recurring, to protect and support its victims, and to bring offenders to justice".

She added that the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill currently going through Parliament will modernise the law while Home Secretary David Blunkett has assigned £14 million over three years for new projects.

"We propose to strengthen police powers through a string of initiatives, including making common assault an arrest-able offence and criminalising the breach of non-molestation orders."

And that does not include Child Abuse/Murders!

NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT (acceptable collateral damage) UNLESS YOU THE PUBLIC< MAKE SOME SORT OF STAND> SIGN IT:-

YOU hold the POWER to change this country's attitude to abuse.

YOU hold the power to make the government act.

IF YOU want to see abuse STOPED in the UK. However drastic you may deem it to be, THIS is the only solution!

The EIGHTEEN missed chances to save tragic Blake: Authorities slammed over failure to protect boy, seven, who died of horrific head injury after years of abuse.

1) December 2007 - Police contact council over reports Blake was 'hit, turned upside down, shaken and threatened' in a supermarket. No further action was taken.
2) End of 2008 - Cafcass alerted to non-accidental injuries on Blake but took no further.
3) October 2008 - Cafcass told about allegations of violence and shown photographs of Blake looking bruised but no action taken.
4) June 2008 - Workmen near Blake's home contact the NSPCC after allegedly seeing him with facial injuries and hearing screams from inside his home. Lack of action taken.
5) July 2008 - Health officer saw a blood blister on Blake's eye perhaps caused by blunt force injury. No action taken.
6) August 2008 - Social services receive report from close family member that Blake has a black eye. Social worker said he would follow it up 'when he had time'.
7) September 2008 - Days before starting school, Blake is admitted to hospital with facial injuries and a painful, swollen penis. He told staff he had 'walked into a door'.
The review said this hospital admittance was perhaps 'the most significant missed opportunity'.
8) June 2008 -School sees that Blake has more bruising around his face. Not reported by school
9) April 2010 -  Blake told teachers that his father had caused him bruising by banging his head on a bed and a bicycle. No action taken.
10) October 2010 - Blake hit another child in the face, saying that this was what “Daddy” did to him and that he got upset when his parents swore at him and called him an idiot.
The school did not take further action.
11) January 2011 - School again notes bruising to Blake's face but no action was taken.
12) February 2011 - Blake said to be mimicking sexual behaviour at school. No action taken. Behaviour repeated throughout his school career.
13) June 2011 - Blake attends school with a black eye but no action taken
14) June 2011 - Blake spoke at school about “getting bruises off my dad” - no action taken
15) July 2011 - Blake speaks graphically about being present while the adults watched pornographic films. This was notified to social services but no action resulted
16) March 2011 - Blake told a member of staff that he and his dad played boxing and his dad tried to be gentle but the floor was slippy so he fell over a lot and got bruises. No action taken.
17) March 2011 - Ten days later Blake came to school with a black eye. His mother said that this had happened accidentally when playing on a trampoline. Blake's behaviour also gave rise to concerns that day and he had to be removed from class. No action taken.
18) 2011 - Blake arrives at school with old, torn clothes and bruising. No further action taken.

REMEMBER DANIEL PELKA ???
Daniel was seen with: Hand marks around his neck: Two Black eyes: Scavenging for filth food from waste bins: Doctor reported on one occasion- he had been submitted to some sort of water torture-after his mother could not revive him: He was becoming drastically thin & underweight: Eventually he was murdered by a massive blow to the head & left in a box room to die!

All these incidents & more were noted, but no one took any action!

There were three cases all similar this month!!!

YOU hold the POWER to change this country's attitude to abuse.

YOU hold the power to make the government act.

IF YOU want to see abuse STOPED in the UK. However drastic you may deem it to be, THIS is the only solution!

What pisses me of most about our country today is:
Over 70 years ago: Millions of Men, Women & Children,
Gave: their lives to protect our countries freedoms & principals!
At a time and in an age when you did not have to lock your front door & people cared.
What have we come to, 75 years on! And all that our country stood for is gone!
You cannot go out or sleep, without locking your door!
99.999% of the people do not care about anyone!
So your Child was murdered: what’s it got to do with me!
So he, beets and abuses his family: what’s it got to do with me!
I’ve got no money, I’ll steel some!
So the family has no food money: I’m entitled to a pint!
If it were not for those who cared fought and died for YOU!
 You would be in servitude!
