re:Vision

Education is a vital part of today’s information-based economy. Being squarely at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution, future advancements in art, science, social studies, politics, law, music, humanities and so many other subjects will be vastly changed, not just by technology itself, but also by advances in communication and connectivity.

We, as a global society, have no guidebook to show us the way forward. Only through experimentation, experience, and reflection can we hope to re-envision what the future will bring. Regardless of what field you are in, whether you are a professional or a hobbyist, whether you are young or old, education lies at the center of that revolution.

In past conferences, we have gone beyond the stage to witness what it means to be epic. We have examined the connections and crossroads brought about through the influence of technology. We have examined the legacy of our past experiences and looked forward to the horizons of what is to come. And we have examined the potential that this virtual revolution means for our evolution.

Anyone who teaches or mentors others is aware of the challenge, the sacrifice, and the patience it requires to effectively guide others toward their own self-enlightenment. That role is made all the more difficult when considering that instructors themselves also need to keep on top of changes in technology and communication. For all the challenges that such struggle begets, teaching is a reward in itself: it exemplifies the best of our society because it promotes creativity, innovation, and moral character for both teacher and learner alike.

re:Vision is not just a concept,
but a passion of those who seek to revise old ideas
or innovate new ones into our modern extended reality.

The epitome of re:Vision is to bring forward the reflections of the learned past, to conceptualize a better future, and to move forward with change that is both promising and constructive. It is a precept in an age when technology connects everyone through both facts and opinions. Mostly, it is about how we utilize technology to renew the promises of connectivity in more insightful ways, so that a new vision of a digital world extends the ideas of collaboration for the purpose of innovation.

Please join us at this, the 12th Annual Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference, to re:Vision the future together.

Upcoming Events
Save the Dates: April 4-6, 2019 – VWBPE Conference!

The VWBPE 2019 Call for Proposals will come out soon.
