If billions of handsets can't connect to the Internet, don't change the handsets, change the Internet.

The future of teacher-parent communication across Africa includes a daily student report card by phone, improving outreach, enlisting parental involvement. InfoView has partnered with +SaraConnects to develop a truly inclusive telephone-centric report card by phone that allows access for all parents regardless their own literacy or income, device or location. InfoView SIMS is already installed in 152 schools in several countries; our new platform will allow broader deployment throughout the continent. Proud to be working with +Jeff Bamba to improve the educational outcomes of millions of children. http://saraconnects.world/report-card-by-phone/

Not Impossible Labs and team ‘Geeky Blinders’ have been working with SaraConnects to design a sound amplification device that would connect to any phone. SaraConnects is an interactive Internet portal that allows any telephone, smart or not, to connect to the Internet. The founder of SaraConnects, Robert Sztybel, was technical adviser for team ‘Geeky Blinders’ during the project. Because each cell phone is different, the team had to figure out a way to connect their solar-powered sound amplification device with any type of phone the users in ‘Last Mile’ communities may have.... http://www.me.gatech.edu/News/Capstone_Spotlight_Not_Impossible_Labs

Scenes from the April 24, 2018 Georgia Tech Capstone Design Expo at the McCamish Basketball Arena where the team of six mechanical engineering seniors sponsored by SaraConnects unveiled their invention of a wireless telephone loudspeaker to amplify the sound from any telephone and enable communal listening by larger groups to SARA Interactive Radio.

Special thanks to our team of inventors of the Universal Amplifier: Omar Ragheb, Omar Raslan, Matthew Derrico, Claire Miller, Aaron Orquia, Devshan Renganathan. Appreciation to Drs. Amit Jariwala and Cassandra Telenko +GeorgiaTech CapstoneEvents

According to the World Bank 59% of adults in developing countries do not have access to a bank account, credit card, smartphone, or any currently contemplated token wallet or web-based token exchange technology – no way to obtain or to transact with tokens or any form of electronic cash. The unbanked can’t make safe money transfers, build credit history, or borrow to build a business or improve their lifestyle. SARA will deliver the first viable exchange powered by AI and protected by blockchain to bank the unbanked and facilitate trade and e-commerce to a new consumer class until now underserved by merchants and society.

The failure at the last mile to timely distribute and dispense vaccines to remote regions translates into many thousands of needless preventable deaths each year from avoidable diseases. Part of the solution to this last mile vaccine crisis is improved information access and exchange with remote populations most in need. SARA is working to launch Interactive Radio to connect and educate the disconnected using the two-way radio devices they already have in hand – voice-centric analog telephone handsets.

When the cloud gets smart enough, access devices can be dumb. There are still 3.9 billion people not connected to the Internet and Mobile Broadband won't solve the handset problem soon. SaraConnects does. I want to use Google technologies to build a smart web browser optimized for basic handsets and connect people in months instead of decades while simultaneously reinventing radio for 21st century interactivity. +Astro Teller +Richard DeVaul +Sundar Pichai
In Coleridge’s "Rime of the Ancyent Mariner" an old seaman bemoans the vast salty ocean: “Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink.” In a 21st century analogy, mobile broadband is the water which is portended to cohesively cover emerging regions with wireless Internet. Yet billions in those markets do not possess devices to connect - no ability to sip from the forthcoming font. http://saraconnects.world/mobile-broadband-everywhere/

Carriers can leapfrog broadcast radio. Every radio listener has a phone; the wireless audience is there. Using existing infrastructure carriers can deliver the killer app radio cannot: interactivity. Interactivity enables personalized streaming to rival smartphone apps. It enables instant purchasing, transacting with ads and content.http://saraconnects.world/increase-wireless-revenues/

Help us drag the radio industry into the 21st century. Radio is the most successful and massively listened-to wireless audio platform on earth. We will reinvent the medium by making it interactive yet equally and instantly pervasive. That's why SARAConnects targets all telephony, not just smartphones, with technology that enables personalized interactive radio to any device. http://saraconnects.world/cognitive-computing-reinvents-radio/
