Per the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, with regard to lung cancer screenings, "Patients should engage in shared decision making with their doctor" if more than 50 years old and greater than 20 pack years (smoking history) and "exposure to arsenic, asbestos, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, coal smoke, nickel, diesel fumes, radon, silica, or soot."
