If you love sweets like I do this place has awesome fresh daily baked cookies for cheap. You can buy by the dozen or get $2 ice cream sandwiches. I like the one cookie, ice cream and whipped cream for a couple of bucks. They also have brownies and shaved ice. Bring cash and be ready to wait a bit. Totally worth it if you're on the Westside!

Fan-flippin'-TASTIC. The butter pecan ice cream was creamy and had the right ratio of pecans. I tried the chocolate chip walnut and white chocolate chip cookies and was happily surprised! Even though the color of the dough is quite light, the cookies were the same amount of sweet and yummy as I've experienced from darker dough cookies. And the price-Fah-ghet-about it! So reasonable! If you are in Westwood, eat dinner anywhere, but eat dessert here!

The cookie and ice cream sandwiches are super good. For just $2, you choose two cookies and the ice cream that you want to be sandwiched in between them. The cookie sizes and amount of ice cream are generous. This is a great place for a really affordable and tasty dessert. Ate Mr. Noodle just before coming here, which is just next door. You can get the cookies and ice cream separately. You can get two cookies and ice cream in a cup with a spoon for just 50 cents extra ($2.50 total).

CASH ONLY. Worth the wait in line, even if the line is long they are fast so it moves right along. This place is crazy cheap and crazy good. I had a cookie sandwich. The cinnamon sugar cookie and the butter pecan ice cream were on point. There's no tax, so we spent $6.50 (plus $1 tip cuz they deserve it) and walked away with 2 cookie sandwiches and a big ol' bag of cookies.

this is the tops and an LA institution. IN the more than 20 years I've been going they've raised their price only a handful of times. Best cookies and Ice Cream sandwiches in town for the best price. As of today a fresh baked cookie for 0.50c. At another place you can expect to pay 3 times that. Plus they are just darn great tasting.

This place has horrible parking and a line that wraps around the block. So why in the world would I give it 5 stars? Well, let's see. -CHEAP prices -Saying that you went to Diddy Riese -DELICIOUS -FRESH -If you go early in the morning, you can buy last night's cookies for even cheaper. So yeah, COME HERE to cure your sweet tooth.

I had a cookie ice cream sandwich - white chocolate macadamia & chocolate walnut cookies w butter pecan. It was delicious just a bit too sweet for my tastes. The cookies are more on the harder side even though they seem to be just baked. The line was long but moved quickly. Service was good. MaryYourSoul(dot)com

I love cookies and, therefore, I love Diddy Riese. There is almost always a line and it is cash only, but it's still usually worth going. The cookies are buttery and sweet, the bryers ice cream is great, the brownies are good, and so is the shaved ice. If you are looking for a fun place to grab a relatively cheap desert this is your place.
