Who can resist the ideal of having creamy rocky road ice cream sandwiched between two freshly baked chocolate macadamia cookies all these for a buck fifty. Simply put it, Diddy Riese is a must go place in Westwood. I'm just a visitor who happened to be around the area and fortunate enough to find such gem. Although I'm amazed at the idea of having anything for $1.50 (back in 2010) in such luxury neighborhood of Westwood, I'm happy for students around to enjoy this great establishment for long time.

Great little place! Cheap Ice cream and Cookie sandwiches and Sundaes. I advise getting the Sandwiches though, it is what they are known for. The line can get very long sometimes to plan for that, luckily it is in a nice part of town. And remember to bring cash!

Awesome cookies, great price. Diddy Riese always has a line out the door and down the block, once you've tried their cookies you'll understand why. Their signature item is an ice cream sandwich between two cookies. You get to choose the the ice cream and also each cookie. Their menu is simple and the items are cheap, cheap, cheap. It's the perfect stop for an afternoon treat. I usually go for just the plain chocolate chip or a scoop of the coffee ice cream, but love all the choices. You can also by cookies by the dozen, call ahead if you are ordering more than 4 dozen so they have it ready and you don't mess up the line. They also have day old cookies by the dozen for a reduced price. It's cash only.

You can tell how good a place is but how long the lines are.... this line went out the door and down half the block... BUT fear not, service is super quick and friendly. You can't beat the prices with under $2 for a cookie sandwich. :O amazed!!! it's totally worth the drive there... too bad there's only street parking available.

The line is completely worth it and the cookies are delicious. They tend to be crisper towards the outside and nice and chewy towards the middle.

My first time in Westwood everyone told me I had to try Diddy Riese. Every time since, the cookies and the ice cream never disappoint and that's coming from someone who isn't a huge fan of sweets. The cookies are so cheap and always taste like they were just baked. Even after sitting out on the table for a couple days, the cookies are still delicious. Everyone usually gets an ice cream cookie sandwich. You get a choice of any 2 cookes and a scoop of ice all for under $2. Be warned though, this place is CASH only and there is always a long line in the evenings, so be prepared to wait.
