It was our first time with friends who have frequented Lot 2. It will definitely not be our last time to dine at Lot 2. The restaurant felt like it could have been in San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC, etc... The wine list was impressive. I didn't see handcrafted cocktails advertised, but the Jameson's and ginger had fresh ginger. Our server Sara was very knowledgeable about not only the food, but the cocktails and extensive wine list. When one of friends wanted a smoky beer cocktail that had previously been a special, both Sara and the bartender accommodated the request. Not to be outdone, the food was excellent. In reviewing the list of producers, it was all local so it felt like farm to table. A standout among the better dining establishments in Omaha.

Went for Sunday brunch thanks to a urbanspoon referral. It was far better than my expectations. The food was amazing! I can't wait to go back and try out the dinner menu. The best in Omaha!

Great food great service! Lots of effort was put into the cheeseboard and the pumpkin bar was a perfect end.

I had the pleasure of dinning at this amazing place tonight. I took care to try many things and get the best experience possible. This is by far some of the best food I have eaten anywhere in the country over the past 20 years of travel. I picked the board and loaded it with every item to sample them all. Everything on the board was fresh and amazing flavors. The dates with almond paste filling are to die for. The nut mix provided a balance of sweet and very light spice for an even distribution of flavor. I ordered the steak and frites with kale salad and rosemary house fries. The steak is something very unique you won't find in other places. The Certified Piedmontese flatiron steak is cooked perfectly, very tender, and full of flavor. This is a special cut of meat that is naturally lean and tender like no other cut. The skill shown by Chef Joel in preparing this steak is masterful. The rosemary fries are very tasty however, the star of the show is Chef Joel Mahr's fresh home made ketchup. This is not your grocery store wanna be ketchup paste. Chef Mahr has created a fresh new ketchup that is just a touch sweet and very light on your pallet. You will not be able to control yourself. The peanut butter cup desert was outstanding. It is similar to a peanut butter and chocolate fudge on a graham cracker crust. The cream puffs are similar to a jelly donut expect very light puff pastry and mixed berry compote filling. They were absolutely incredible in flavor. The cozy friendly environment with friend wait staff combined with an amazing Chef create the perfect storm of dining experiences. I highly recommend you take the opportunity to experience this for yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed!

At first I was upset and disappointed but I think this establishment did me a favor. I called yesterday 05/13/14 at 405pm. I asked if they were accepting reservations for Friday May 23. I was told yes and asked how many in my party. I told her 10 for 730pm and it was for a Birthday Dinner. She told me 730pm was open but asked me to hang on because she had to ask her Manager a question. She proceeds to tell me they could either accommodate me at 5pm or 9pm. They could not do 730pm because that is a busy time and something about the kitchen getting backed up. I am sorry but isn't that the point in taking and making reservations? To PREPARE you and your staff accordingly? Not only did you lose business but you lost future customers. Half of us have never been to this restaurant. Believe me when I say we all go out to dinner A LOT and we're all great tippers!! I've read and heard such GREAT reviews about this establishment. I was so looking forward to it but obviously they're doing so well that they're able to turn away customers on a convenience factor.

I absolutely love Lot 2. I've eaten here 6 or 7 times and have always been more that satisfied. The wait staff is superior; extremely knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. The burger is my favorite of all time, and the best in Omaha by far IMO. On every occasion but once, the chef has checked on our table and asked for our opinion and feedback. He does this in a genuine way and not out of forced habit like some restaurants. Lot 2 is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Omaha. The menu may be small but they rotate dishes and always excel at what they have as options.

We made reservations at Lot 2, because we wanted to see a show at a club across the street. I am disabled and use a wheelchair, but the folks at Lot 2 accommodated me perfectly without a fuss. The food was brilliant and a very good value. Not a wine person, but others called their list outstanding. We enjoyed a Board appetizer which features Lot 2's in house cured meats and other tidbits. The service was perfect, as was the decor in its way--unpretentious, comfortable, upbeat. I'm going back for my birthday.
